Evan sat in the corner of the box, his head slowly dropping down every so often as he felt tiredness washing over him. But he didn't want to sleep. He didn't want to miss the chance of Joe coming back and escaping. He had the plan. It was the perfect plan and all he had to do was execute it correctly. Evan started going over and over in his head what to do when suddenly the lights around the cage went dark. The humming noise from the air conditioner was silent and the only thing Evan could hear was the loud thumping of his heart from inside his chest. He slowly stood, hearing footsteps above him, it seemed to be more than just one. Was this an alter escape plan? Was someone else here? Or did Joe have friends...? Sick friends just like him.. either way, Evan had half the arm chair in his possession still, ready to use it if anything. And for awhile..nothing did. Evan spent minutes wandering in circles, waking himself up and calming his nerves to prepare himself for what he had to do.
After a moment, Evan heard the door from the staircase open and his body tensed. Alright. Plan activated.
Evan quickly flung himself to the floor, on his back where he pretended to still be groggy and his legs numb. Evan let out a groan when he saw Joe, completely walking past him without even a second glance.
"H-hey! You asshole! You told me this stuff would wear off! I've been laying here for hours and I have to piss" He yelled, his voice going softer as he acted to cry again. He watched Joe still ignore him, tinkering with the fuse box before the lights came back on. And then he was leaving..no..no this wasn't the plan!
Evan needed to think quick, his eyes darting around him but stopped noticing Joe didn't leave yet. Instead he finally looked to the cage. Yes..yes.Normally Joe's freak out would scare Evan slightly but this was exactly what he wanted. "It's not my fault you're using the oldest chair from the 18th century to try to hold my weight! I tried to stand up with it and the arm just snapped." He explained as Joe went to open the door. Yes..yes..His eyes followed Joe, not phased by him threat. At this point, Joe could've already killed him. So maybe he wasn't a killer, just a freaky pervert. And Ella didn't deserve that.
As Joe picked up the chair, Evan felt his breathing quicken. This was the moment. It was now or never. With Joe's hands occupied, Evan sat up, grabbing the piece of arm chair and wacking it across Joe's head. He Quickly stood to his feet and made a dash to the cage door, opening it and running out towards the stairs. Finally. He would go straight to the police station. He opened the door only to be faced with a set of bars that prevented him from fully escaping.
"What-no no" He mumbled, trying to open the gate but it was locked. It needed a key. Of course. So..Plan B..fight his way out.Evan slowly walked back down the stairs, he looked to the cage only to notice that Joe was no longer there and the chair was now laying on it's side on the ground. He let out a shaky breath as he looked around.
"Let's talk about this man!" He shouted around the dark room. "We can both walk out of this! Just give me the keys, and I wont tell anyone about this!"
