The sun was just beginning to rise when Addy stepped out.  Sadie trotting eagerly beside her. The air was cool and crisp, carrying the scent of damp earth and awakening grass. Ellie, tucked snugly in her stroller, asleep. This sunrise walk was Addy's sanctuary, a sacred hour before the chaos of work began.

Tim stepped out of their home as he decided to accompany Addy on her walk this morning. The boundaries of their living situation were still relevant and put into place. He wanted to slowly make it up to her for everything he had done. He calls over Sadie as his hand was grabs her leash.  "Mind if I join you this morning?" He asks her. Addy looks over at Tim with a nod and a small smile. She knew he was trying hard. Part of her immediately wanted to jump into his arms and have everything go back to normal. But, she knew she needed to fully heal.

She pushed the stroller forward, and he'd fallen into step beside her, a respectful few feet of space between them. Tim looks down at Ellie and sees her stirring in her sleep, a soft sigh escaping her tiny lips. Tim smiles as he watches his baby sleep "She's out cold" Tim said with a light chuckle.

Addy nodded her head with a small smile "Yeah, she is" she says. Tim looks over at Addy and sees her wearing a light colored workout set, and sneakers.  She looked good, her weight was slowly returning to normal from pre-pregnancy, and she was feeling more confident in her skin.

"You look good this morning" Tim complimented. Addy could feel her cheeks heat up. Tim still made her blush "Thank you, I finally feel comfortable wearing a cropped shirt" she says gesturing to her flat stomach. There was definitely sexual tension between the two. Tim was still sleeping in the guest room, and Addy was in their room. At times they would bump into each other post shower in the hallway, or Addy would catch glimpses of Tim shirtless. She was trying her best to maintain a boundary.

They walked on, the sun now painting the sky in vibrant streaks of orange and gold. Tim occasionally reached out, taking the handle of the stroller from her without a word when they hit an uneven patch, his movements protective. Addy didn't resist. His touch was light, and comforting.

He was trying. She could see it. More than that, she could feel it. The way he kept his eyes on her, seeking permission for small gestures, the way he slowed his pace when she paused to adjust Ellie's blanket, the quiet intensity with which he observed her. He wanted to understand, to be better. He had told her as much, his voice raw with regret, "I just don't want to mess this up again, Addy. I need to gain your trust. However long it takes."

Once Addy got to the station she had a brief conversation with Lucy, and Celina. The three were catching up before they were out on the streets. She was dressed in her patrol uniform, as she continued to train her rookie Seth.
