Chapter 45; The Wedding

SAMANTHA'S Every step on the red carpet tear her heart apart.

Yes, she might be smiling sweetly but she was crying inside, she was breaking inside. Tudo-tudo ngang pagpipigil sa sarili ang ginagawa niya para hindi siya mapaiyak sa gitna ng maraming tao na halos lahat ay may nakaplastir na ngiti sa mga labi.

Lahat ay mukhang masaya para sa espesyal na araw na iyon sa buhay ng dalawang tao na napakahalaga at malapit sa puso niya.

Ngayon ang araw na kinatatakutan niyang dumating, the day of Leighdon and Abegail's wedding.

Ayaw niyang dumalo sa kasal ng dalawa. Natatakot siya na baka ilaglag siya ng sarili niyang damdamin pero wala siyang dahilan para gawin niya iyon. Everyone knew that Leighdon and Abegail is her bestfriend. All of their friends were there too. Si Cc lang yata ang wala doon at ang apat nitong kuya.

"You can do it Samantha," she silently encourage herself.

She vow to herself that after today, she'll try her very best to take her life back to normal, to the way it use to be before Leighdon come to her heart. No tears, no heartbreak, doubts, guilt and regrets. No expectation and disappointment.

She will live her life to the fullest.

She almost strip herself when her gaze landed to Leighdon. He was dashingly handsome standing on the end of the aisle, wearing a black suit that suits him well. Kahit ano namang isuot nito walang kupas ang taglay nitong kagwapuhan, mas lalo pa nga itong nagiging gwapo sa paningin niya sa bawat araw na dumadaan. She couldn't stop herself but admire him and be mesmerized by him but she was a bit startled seeing him looking at her with his blank emotionless face.

His lonely eyes hold no warmth, she feel like she was staring to a dead man.

What's wrong with him? Bakit pakiramdam niya bumalik ito sa dating Leighdon na kilala niya bago niya nakita ang ibang side nito ng tumira siya sa Condo nito kasama ito.

What happen to him?

Why she feel like his a different person from the man who just talk to her few minutes ago.

Is it because of her?

She still couldn't shake off from her mind Leighdon face when she called him Leighron. He look genuinely hurt and disappointed.

Why? She just call him by his name, what so big deal about it? Why would he get hurt by it? Pareho naman nitong pangalan ang Leighron at Leighdon. Kahit ano pa ang itawag niya dito wala namang mababago na siya at siya parin iyon. So why?

Nakahinga siya ng maluwag at lihim na pinalakpakan ang sarili ng makarating siya sa harap ng altar na hindi ipinapahiya ang sarili.

"Good job Samantha! You didn't humiliate yourself." She silently praise herself.

Sana lang magpatuloy iyon hanggang matapos ang kasal. Alam niya na mag-uumpisa palang ang totoong laban.

She took a deep breath to calm herself and to get ready for the absolute and painful upcoming heartbreak when the soft music played and when she saw Aby on the entrance of the Cathedral, standing beautifully wearing a simple but gorgeous wedding gown with her father on her right side.

Abegail is undeniably beautiful and gorgeous.

"Just stay still and cheer them Samantha." She murmured to herself. That's the right thing to do, it's the best for her and to all of them.

"Sam?"

"Huh?"

"You okay hija? Bakit ka umiiyak? May problema ba?" Nag-aalalang bulong sa kanya ni Carmela.
