Desert Madness/ The Second Titan

Super Sonic approaches the desert near Klugetown. However, a blast hits him and causes him to drop the Chaos Emeralds. He falls into the sand.

Sonic: Woaaaah!!!! Oof! Ack! Oh! Oof! Ow!(Landed)

After a moment, Sonic, back to his normal form, looks up at the Chaos Emeralds as they scatter off and disappear.

Sonic: Nah. That's cool. I didn't want this to be easy anyway.

As soon as Sonic arrived he begins to search the place. There he defeated a spring looking robot, a floating robot and soldiers but this time they can block Sonic's attacks, but Sonic managed to use Cyloop to unblock them and uses homing attack to defeat them. After a while Sonic finally found a Cyber Cage with Knuckles trapped inside.

Sonic: Knuckles!? What are you doing here? How-? Never mind - I'll get you out.

As Sonic approaches the cage he touches it and the cage opens setting Knuckles free. However more cyber energy enters Sonic and staggers him for a bit. Knuckles questions what just happened however Sonic describes it as a side-effect of the island's energy. Not knowing that Sage was watching over them

Knuckles: [To Sonic] Some rescue. I'm still half-ghost!
Sonic: [Sage flies away] I'm working on it, okay?
[Knuckles and Sonic give a high five, but to no effect.]
Knuckles: What's going on with you?
Sonic: Ah just a little side effect of the island's weird energy. What are you doing so far from home?
Knuckles: I was investigating some strange ruins when I was transported here, then got trapped.
Sonic: Never a dull moment with you.
Knuckles: Just bring me up to speed.
Sonic: Listen, help me find the Chaos Emeralds so I can beat up some big robots. You'll be free and back to guarding the Master Emerald in no time.
Knuckles: [Thinks, then shows a competitive look] Sounds like a plan.
[Sonic shows his rivalry look back to Knuckles.]

Sonic continues to run across the desert but suddenly a metal looking fin appears on the sand and starts following him. Sonic heard the sound, stopped turned around and nothing was behind him, the fin had disappeared.

Sonic: Hm... that was weird. (Continues to run)

As he is about to run a sand dune, a mechanical looking Shark breached out of the sand trying to eat him. Jumpscared, Sonic manages to dodge it and the Shark went into the sand.

Sonic: Woah! What WAS that?!

Standing on the middle of the Sand, Sonic trying to find the Shark where to appear, the Shark's fin was moving around Sonic and then in disappeared again. Sonic still standing feels a shaking coming from his feet, The Shark about to attack Sonic from the bottom and close call the Shark launches to the air. Sonic grabs its tail and beginnings to swim across the desert. It tries to shake off Sonic but he manages to hold on.

Sonic: (while grabbing) This is nothing like that one video on the internet. I really need a bigger airship.

The Shark then fires Rocket on the ground, trying to hit Sonic at them. Sonic successfully dodges them until he sees an opening and uses a quick cyloop to make the Shark float to the air. Sonic quickly uses Phantom Rush to defeat the Shark and finally it destroys it. The Shark dropped a Portal gear and Sonic collected it, Knuckles appeared right in front of him.

Sonic: See? I told you that I handled it.
Knuckles: (Annoyed) Hmph, I could have done it faster with one Punch.
Sonic: Yeah, keep telling yourself that.

From the distance Sage was watching them and disappeared again. Later one Sonic arrives on a Portal, he places the portal gear. it activates and Sonic entered to Cyber Space. Once he got out he collected 4 keys and the structure of the first chaos emerald.

Sonic collects the 1st Blue Chaos Emerald

As Sonic runs across the desert, The Second Titan, Wyvern, emerges and flies above the landscape. As soon as Sonic realizes the Titan isn't attacking, he takes a breath, but is jump-scared by an appearing Sage.

Sage: While I cannot fully control it, I can awaken its rage against you.
[Sage activates Wyvern, approaches to Sonic and roars.]
Sonic: I need to find someplace safe!

[Sonic desperately runs to try and find a hiding spot. He crosses the Forbidden Jungle and reaching the Badlands. The chase goes on across the desert He looks behind and sees a missile approaching him. He jumps just as soon as it explodes on the ground. He dodges more missiles and finds a hiding spot, behind a rock. He sits down and tries to catch his breath. He looks up. All the missiles the Wyvern drops explode out of Sonic's reach, and the Wyvern swoops past him. He gets up.]

Sage: You cannot run forever. Final warning: leave.
Sonic: Heh. That was a "warning"?
