Throughout the course of the week, Sehki noticed things seemed a lot easier.

Spotting Delphine and Kayla on the line at Nabu, he prepared fire magic just as the water heir attempted to drown him with a water prison surrounding his body.

But enough of Taylor's female and male admirers distracted him long enough for Sehki to burn the water off while adding the furnace magic from the dining hall staff.

On his way to class, Rigal blasted a wall of wind about to hurl him to a tree. Minus created a field of wind with his Apus StellArts preventing Sehki dashing forward. Mandrew manifested a dragon's aura to enhance Capel using the Auriga StellArts to turn his feet in wheels.

The latter two blasted Sehki while Rigal recorded. He kicked up the earth to form a small shield around his feet, ducking underneath and held a fireball to the wall. He poured enough magic, expanding it into a larger sphere that created a blind spot in the wall and fired at Rigal's phone.

Rigal flipped out, and the others got distracted enough to check on their leader. He took the chance to wipe sweat off his face and flick sweat drops at each of their faces, knocking the phone away further. He made haste while they started their tech chase, noticing Lorena recording what was going on.

Another Void had attacked halfway through the week. While some students tried fighting, looking around to see if someone was around caused their arrival.

He told them all to run, taking a nasty hit while putting enough magic power into the dirt to shake him off and smack him away with a water enhanced whip.

The Void opened its mouth, sucking him towards them when stalagmites crushed it. Ainsley appeared behind him, crushing the Void into pieces.

"Thanks."

"I'm the only heir this planet needs," walking away with their body jerking around.

During Tidal's class, Xia fell asleep while they were being taught to combine Cardinal and Mutable, forming a shape, then making it expand and explode.

Sehki, Vena, and Vital were told to try, but the two started, creating a two head hellhound about to pounce on him. However, he thought fast, creating a bone of flames.

Vena got distracted, having their creation chase after the bone until it exploded.

"Uh, sorry. We stopped being allowed to own pets after a certain point in FS."

Oh that's so sad, as Vital ended up telling them a story about the government taking them and using them against the Voids.

He turned to Calypsa as they walked back, about to cry.

"But you never owned a pet before?"

"You think me and Flint haven't thought about it?"

"Well, you could be my pet," she teased.

He asked her to say Eridinus, taking her staff the moment she said it and blasted her in the face with water. "They say you have to clean pets after they are outside too much," he teased back, leading her to playfully chase him back to his dorm.

Just as he closed the door, she knocked.

"Dumbki, no, Sehki. I'm really looking forward to Saturday."

His heart skipped a beat. "Yeah, me too."

The night before, Professor Delta approached him. "Your grades are slightly improving. By the way, I've been needing to ask. Technically your Selective Major would be monarch, but have you been taking that into consideration."

"Not necessarily. I mean, when push comes to shove, the people are going to pick me over them. I need to focus on the people I have left."

"Are you already forsaking the people you have in this world?"

What does she mean? Does she know? "It's clear I'm not wanted."

"Did people back at your last home teach you complacency garners respect?"

"Of course not! There are people still fighting to make their world a better place. Just because I don't have the strength there doesn't mean I'm not going to try for myself and the others."

"So what's stopping you from doing the same here? Aren't you more powerful?"

"Magic's just a tool. It means nothing if the user isn't strong enough to use it!"

"Don't be so conceited! You expect to be strong in a world where you don't want to understand your own people's plight?!" She shoved herself directly in front of his face. "If you're so weak, who can you protect? Who will come to your aid in your most dire of moments?"

Sehki was about to answer Calypsa but hesitated. They may have been friends, but in the end, she was just his tutor.

Delta let go. "I guess I was wrong to expect anything from you. Like father, like,"

"I am nothing like Gerald," snapping and throwing a fist of fire and air she casually countered with a field of wool. He shook his head, realizing he went too far. "Professor, I'm sorry."

"You aren't like your father. So stop repeating his mistakes," walking away.

While Sehki contemplated her words on his way through the school, Principal Lumin crossed his path.

"I hear your performance is improving somewhat," handing them another stipend and Starlight. "Yet you seemed troubled."

"It's just, every step I take forward, it's like the road gets bigger, and I don't know what path to follow."

"You should relax and take it easy. You're a Divine Heir after all. People are taking time to get used to you. Patience is a virtue. It takes a while to develop a lion's den."

Torn, everyone's suggestion overwhelmed Sehki's psyche as he slumbered asleep.

Flint sat down next to the schoolyard fence, near the school aides. However, one of them left to use the bathroom. The other went to deal with an altercation on the basketball court. The young blond found himself at the mercy of the same children that attacked him the other day, complete with pebbles in their hands.

As one of them swung their fist back, a yellow liquid sprayed from above Flint, spraying all over the yellow quartet. He turned around to see a person with a taped up mask telling him his identity, but not before pointing at them.

"Hey," yelling at some nearby kids. "Look, they peed their pants!"

Several groups of kids went around to laugh and embarrass Flint's bullies while some girls picked him up. Flint looked back at his savior, who smiled back as they ran away.

Sehki woke up laughing as the door knocked, not ready for what was to happen next.
