"Ready," Cree asked, punching back and forth in the morning with a reluctant Sehki readying a stance, gauze whips, fists, and kicks. "Fight!"

His body was tense, anticipating and predicting Cree's attacks, who was clearly having fun trying to break his defense, kicking up spears of wind he bounced from.

Swinging the two dimensional shape above his head to see Cree slide down and approaching him from behind, his thoughts of forming the dark cover laced with earth contrasted the flow of wind spinning around his legs. Instinctively kicking Cree away, the experienced brawler's face beamed.

"Wait, that wasn't supposed to happen!"

Cree's mouth went to his mouth, blowing streams of ice and wind at him.

If Rigal can throw his fists that fast, I can do that too, trying to replicate that, only for him to get easily overpowered, rapidly pushed back through the gut.

"Stop thinking too hard. Figuring out yourself and your opponent's flaws in the middle of a fight is suicide if you don't have enough skill. Teach your body to respond faster!"

Cree charged up and twirled around surging cold, swinging a massive ice shard in the shape of a bear's whole fist. Panicking, Sehki jumped high, and the shadow of his jacket responded to his hope to leap higher, flapping its arms like wings to soar away from impalement.

"That could've killed me!'

"Only if you didn't dodge," running up the walls and pole vaulting towards him. "Can you fight and flight?"

Using his powers to reach the ceiling, he bounced off the ceiling, catching Cree's fist.

"Barely!" When his opponent stabbed the staff in the wall to swing, he deflected their fists, countered knee for knee, and stopped flapping for the shadow to throw him away. "But you're weak without your bojutsu!"

"Think so," waiting for Sehki to fly down, replicating Rigal's own fighting style with wide swinging fists the prince ducked and rolled under, in awe.

"Wait, but you're not Aquila StellArts, how can you mimic him?"

"Easy, I'm half Ursa Major and Indus. My ice isn't as fast or flexible as my sister's but it's way more powerful. And Indus makes my wind magic stronger at the edge of any weapon."

"But you're not using - wait, your arms!"

"Your whole body is a weapon," backhanding and trapping him in a whirlwind motion to toss him into the ground, only for Sehki to fall into his own shadow and jump back up with a kick Cree was strong enough to withhold with one hand.

"One you can keep honing. Try to hit me while only diving in and out, shadow boy."

Sehki sucked his teeth. "Bet," fell when throwing aside and dashing through the darkness, but Cree jumped over his leg sweeps, caught his flying fists, and stopped his flying kick in midair, throwing him back down.

"You maybe intagi~the word that means I can't hit you, but you're too straight forward. You were having much fun against Rigal, show me that chaotic fighting style!"

Irked, but agreeing, Sehki swam, rightfully predicting Cree strike him head on as he rose out. He sank down the same time the Indus StellArts user struck, but jumped once the pole hit the ground, kicking it away.

"Gotcha," spinning the staff via the shadow, watching Cree smile as he formed wind around his leg to counter his Indus-air enhanced fist.

The collision forced them both back. Devilishly grinning, Cree exerted enough force to hurl a hail storm from above at him.

This is just like, I won't miss, flying head first into the storm and sliding into the darkness. Getting a sense of Deja vu, his hands spiraled like he co trolled a Spiral Gear, creating a vacuum from the hail storm behind him and launching it at full force.

Cree had no choice but to replicate a spear of wind to halt his attack. He smiled.

"That's it! Cree, thank you!"

"Huh, all I did was use this as a good workout."

"We're doing that again! We have to perfect," dropping to the ground, "it."

"After you take a break."

He woke up the next morning with Cree side by side.

"Not trying to judge but you seem more like an advisor than a prince. What led you to going on this revenge plan? You said someone close stabbed you in the back?"

He gave him the cliff notes.

"Oh wow, she trained you? Huh, that's way different from my mentor. I forgot her name but I had a tough time in this world for a while until she started teaching me how to fight better."

"She let the other heirs throw me off the cliff. I guess I wasn't good enough compared to her."

"Wow, that had to hurt. That's like when Windy ignored me the night Candy got attacked. Those heirs are afraid to look bad in front of anyone. Still, I don't blame you for wanting to head back to your Earth. But you wouldn't stay for anyone?"

"Well no, there's you, Candy, Lorena, the production crew, the Bistro, those kids. But I need to see if Flint's okay, or accept the truth if he isn't. But I don't want to leave with those sociopaths running amok."

"Huh, you're starting to sound like a king," much to their surprise. "Whatever it is, just have fun beating them and show her that betting on you wasn't a mistake, right?"

"You think so?"

"Prison's taught me we all have more shades than black and white. Behind most monsters are scared children acting out so they don't get hurt," springing up. "Two days to rest, two days of training left!"

The four days went by a breeze, using one to go back to the fight court and set up the official rules: no outside interference, weapons were allowed but the fight would end once a certain threshold was reached, bounds were city levels, forfeits were allowed.

The day of the fight came, and Sehki and Rigal met again, masked to face.
