Just before the spears could snuff out the embers of the innocent victims, a Eagust smacked them brisk enough for one to pierce a stand underneath a citizen's legs.

"Prince Rigal's here," another yelled as he landed, given a stern and drive face that housed strength, but masked his fear to Sehki and Cree.

"Leave them alone," charging straight towards the Herdsmen with blind defiance and cheers from his audience, while the killer smiled.

The crowd's his motivator but that mental nerf's still hindering his combat ability. In that case:

His silhouette connected to Rigal, puppeteering him to rip the killer's weapons out of his hands.

"If these heirs aren't up to snuff, I'll be the shadow that erases their evils."

"What the?"

"Rigal," moving his hands, "blow the car at him!"

With no choice, he slashed his arms, blowing one towards them.

Sehki kicked up the car's shadow that the Herdsmen cleaved in half, mercy to Cree smacking the halberd, and Rigal blasting the vehicle's windows into the killer's face.

Now distraught, the trio of them pummeled him back and forth with their shadow, Indus, and physical prowess. The Herdsmen attempted to recover and throw his spear, but the Shugoda duo blew Sehki airborne, propelling his feet to blast him into the Herdsmen, smashing him in the chest with a shadow-covered fist to the gut.

"It's working?"

"He's going down, argh!" Rigal clutched his stomach. "I'm running out of magic."

The Herdsmen took advantage of their concern, smacking Sehki away. He shadow tagged Rigal's body, using kicking away the Herdsmen's attacks and weapons with martial arts Madam taught him about: disarming and pushing away their opponent with deflecting strikes.

Knowing Rigal's body was tired, he pulled him away.

"Okay, we need a new alteration to the plan. I'll distract the eagle-bear killer. Rigal, you get some magic power from the soldiers nearby, and Cree, I need you to get something for me. Wait, can we activate the systems allowing everyone to watch us?"

"Why," his fellow prince requested.

"Your ex is going to be the key to our survival," pointing to the Herdsmen getting up. "Hurry!"

"Alright, Deactivate Override! I hope you know what you're doing!"

"Amarilis, if you can hear this, text out the name of the restaurant we went to before the show!"

He pulled out his phone and took a picture the moment an address showed up on a comment with her name just as the Herdsmen rose up.

"How are you going to stop him from targeting us?"

"Excellent question," turning his shadow into a small fang, biting out blood from both of their arms, coating it around the dark form. "I'll be the bait," dashing forward and striking the Herdsmen in the face, watching him sniff enough to target him, running slow enough he was now the primary pursued target.

Now being chased, he enhanced his legs to smash into the building with the water tower, and sprinting faster. Sehki maneuvers up the building from the obsessive attacker's ignited weapons, melting and piercing through each and every floor he was escaping too.

"I need to stop taunting murderers," he admitted.

Barely jumping from melting platform to platform, he used one of the thrown projectiles to bring himself up to the connecting rooftops of the skyscrapers, including the water tower connecting the high rise jacuzzis, pools, and other water locales.

He kept over, rolled, and jumped to avoid the hefty weapon swings and throws, using the shadows to kick one into the tower. As it burst open, he used the shadows from the splinters and the dark projection from the falling liquid to conjure up a wave of darkness, tying him up.

"You're my prey," summoning a black wave to slam into him, kicking up a trail of dirt to help hold him in place. But I can't hold him for long.

"Cree," yelling to the recording livestreams. "Hurry up!"

"I'm coming," regretting the amount of money he paid the owner.

The Herdsman growled endlessly, writhe with desire to free himself.

"Enough with the growling and one dimensional dialogue! I get it, I'm not a fan of them either, but you don't have to be their recruitment strategy. What did they do to you?"

"Aquila! Took Everything! From Me!" His body contorted and cracked with more attempts. "Cursed existence!"

"But Rigal's been afraid of you for years! Look, killing him isn't going to make things better," assuming he had some Void energy, and began his attempts to consume it, only to start spitting out in disgust.

"A curse? How do we stop it?"

He took a harsh sniff from the Aquila blood, increasing the strident wrath in his voice, as all his weapons ignited to push out Sehki's shadow-drown attack, slowly walking towards him. Torn between dispelling and running or holding out hindered his hold.

"Killing me won't help you get that. But if you speak out, you can stop the royal army from sending out innocent civilians to die!"

It fell on ears pausing and twisted around, grabbing onto the dirt trail underneath and crawling over to him.

Above them came the shadow of Cree and Rigal, the former throwing soup on all of them, much to the chagrin of the heat while the Herdsman frightfully turned around, searching randomly now that all four of them were drenched into liquid, stabbing and swinging around blind.

A combination of his shadow-shaped gun firing water enhanced by the blowing impact of the staff and a Eagust blew the Herdsmen off the building, just as lightning and rain cracked down.

"Perfect. Now!"

Rigal was about to summon an air field when hands pulled the trio's limbs away from one another, finding their magic drained.

"Voids? Now?"

"That's why I didn't want this livestreamed! He's still feared enough to cause negative energy!"

Sehki immediately regretted this miscalculation as the Voids dragged them off the building. More flew down towards the killer, who started hacking and slashing them apart, slowly recovering enough energy devouring them.

He slammed and dragged his halberd on the building, swinging off it and flying at them with the club reading to leave them a bloody corpse.
