Sehki cut her off. "Wait, I was there! I mean," coughing, "I was with a friend when they did that in the hall. You didn't know? Him and Taylor brag about it all the time."
She sucked her teeth. "I thought he would be faithful."
"It's not your fault, but," scrolling through Spewtube, "this is the same guy who made a video titled It's Okay For Men to Cheat."
"He said that to rile up his fans. It's just a dumb fantasy he's had for years. He wants everyone to love him and every girl to worship his feet. I didn't think he'd go through with it."
"He decided to put his money where his mouth is the worst possible way. What a prick."
"I keep trying to warn him. He's having a podcast episode tonight, but it's taken this long to get me on as a guest. I don't know if the heirs could take something like this on alone."
"The person in the cloak, Cluster. What did he do?"
—
Rilis' breath was waning, catching her breath from the run, letting the crew know she was not going to do the movie anymore and leaving Yessenia in shock.
"That must've been that masked freak everyone was spreading rumors about. No way I'm taking jobs here anymore," trying to call Rigal. "Come on, pick up love. Voicemail? Fine," seeing the busy streets and cars. "Taxi?"
"Allow me to answer your call."
She scaled up, finding Cluster. "Who are you?"
"Someone offering the power for fae to rise above a broken system. Help me end a war between fae and void with no end in sight."
"Why do you need actors, ask the Presidents and heirs for that?"
"I don't have to worry about them. The real power of a civilization isn't the figurehead, but their people. And you actors perform and captivate millions. Harness the power of your influence and fae to change the world for the better."
"Thanks but it's not really for me. I'm just trying to make a living, pass," about to walk away.
"You have an intimate relationship with Prince Rigal do you not? Maybe he'll listen to my plight instead."
"Wait what?"
Cluster pinned her to the wall, knocking her towards the wall, pulling out an injection needle.
"Let's test that power on a Lacerta StellArts."
Her scales formed through her body upon instinct, stopping the needle from completely piercing her flesh, exuding them all out of her body that blasted Cluster into a wall.
Shedding her skin, she jumped into the street to flag down an Auriga taxi. Cluster pulled off them off in time to lunge at her when a chariot shaped vehicle trying to stop ran them over.
She banged on the door. "Hurry, this man is trying to kill me! Get me out of here now, I'll give you triple pay, an autograph, a third of my salary and some head," watching Cluster pick themselves up. "Hurry!"
The driver let her in and threw concerns to the speed limit through the window.
——
"Since then, I went to him, but after the fight and the backlash, Tellus is like the only place I can go too with no issues or backlash. But rumors are spreading something happened behind the Victory Rider Movie. I hate his guts."
"But you still care about him. Wait did you actually give the driver head?"
"Nah, because we thought we just were just as loyal as our partners!" She calmed down. "He said his daughter's a fan though."
"So what do you wanna do. Get on the podcast to clear your name and try to warn him about the Voids or call him out?"
"I've got the recording from both nights."
"I know someone with footage of him harassing a sex worker."
"Why not both?"
"I like your style. I'm in."
While they decided on how to go about it, Lorena and Ainsley went through the wreckage of Coastrosity's set in the midst of cleanup.
They punched their fist, pouring enough magic to restructure and rebuild some of the broken houses and buildings, already tired.
"Did you feel any signs of his parents?"
"Not one," needing her to help them up, "bit. We could go further into the city and use the statue as a base," ensuring their disguise fit.
She opened up her laptop, using the data from Calypsa's photo and punched in the websites, a network housing several targets, each with a Zodiac logo onto it.
"If this Cluster person was targeting individuals, they had to have left a trail," opening up another, having a list of people with articles attached to each one.
"That'll lead us straight to him," showing them photo evidence of her father being attacked by a masked individual.
"How did Calypsa get that in the first place?"
"Ainsley, tell me everything you know about her. She may be more dangerous than we think."
That night, Sehki and Rilis approached the content center, rested and willing for the event. However, they were quickly stopped by the security guard.
"Hey, I'm here at the right time."
"You know the rules. You have to show off your skills or be a Lyra Fighter."
"Lyra Fighter?" Right, they don't know. "I grew up sheltered."
"Shugoda was built having lost most of its assets so after they reclaimed their homes, they used rhymes, hieroglyphs, and music to re-educate while harnessing their StellArts for knowledge."
"Lyra, music. So music skills?" He took a deep breath. "Here goes."
"Beating hedonistic heirs is part of my mission.
Clear of the world of its sins and reach its new vision.
Clown the cream of the crop in every competition.
Accel and soar higher for my greater ambitions.
Be a dominant force and put them into submission.
Beat you like the way Rigal does with his women.
Bloody and bruised so they'll need a physician
Let us pass now, I've practiced the tradition
I devour my threats and I see new nutrition."
The security guards whimpered. "A ten beat combo? Enter, please."
Inside Rilis looked at him with surprise. "You want to be a Lyra Fighter?"
"No way" catching his breath. "I just like rhymes and watching mean people suffer. Lead the way so we can get to the latter."
