Sehki and Candy spun back between the cavern's exit and the next stage, a floating constructed interconnected series of rivers and land mass the announcer claimed was made with the help of Coastrosity's workers.
The two grabbed each other's hands and bowed to the audience.
"I can't believe it worked," she admitted, looking at the massive cracks in the chest and the slowly melting ice.
"You did great out there," waving to the audience.
"You have to hurry, you're in the lead," going ahead with the maintenance crew to head back to the stadium. "I know you can win."
He hopped towards the fae using Antlia magic to create a wind tunnel for the participating, which sent him up to the start of the second lap as he heard the sounds of the other heirs not too far from the exit.
Meanwhile, the second stars of each heir's inner circle waited for their time to engage, watching each of their heirs.
Kayla tapped her former member. "I didn't expect him to be in first place right now. Lorena, did you know he was alive the whole time?"
"Context clues, though I was about seventy-thirty."
"Why are you working with the traitor prince," Mandrew asked. "His parents betrayed us all!"
"I want all the facts. Besides, your father was a competent war strategist, and you're a lowly podcaster with a primitive understanding of women. Our parents don't entirely define how we are, completely, do they?"
Mandrew sucked his teeth much to Kayla's amusement, but Vital proposed a question. "Aren't you worried what the Planetary Presidents will do to anyone who supports him?"
"Reputations can be tarnished. Will Sehki seen as a hero who helped Rigal stop a terrorist, or a bully to the other heirs? I want to see what happens."
"Yeah, let's just do our best out there," prompting all four to turn to the young feminine voice shaking their hands with her blue and pink bunny ears and her own limbs so quickly they felt a vibration.
"You're?"
"Oh Bella Hind! Transfer student! I wasn't expecting to end up being chosen for Lord Ainsley's inner circle! So what are we talking about?"
"Uh, nothing," as they all got their cards.
She gasped. "Huh? I thought this was supposed to be a fair competition. Back when I was a boy, even this would be too much. Hi Lore, can I call you that? Does yours say the same?"
Lorena looked down, quivering.
—
Sehki formed a black surfboard against the rapid river, forced to thrust his body back and forth to dodge the trees being kicked down by goats with the capricorn symbols, wondering if he could take one as a gift for Lorena.
To his dismay, a giant whale with spikes flew down, crashing the space underneath it and blowing Sehki back into the air, finding Taylor flying and yelling at him for ruining their lap. Ainsley flipped up the river walls to push them all the way from the Cetus blasts, only for Xia and Rigal to fly towards the beast to see who could knock it back.
The quintet hurried down the rivers, while different fae dropped their hands, firing large volumes of water at them. Recognizing the freshwater taste as Calypsa's Eridinus, Sehki was forced to narrowly pivot, dive, and flip away after noticing the volume targeting him were condensing enough to be seen as lasers.
"Prince Sehki has went from first to the back of the pack? Can he keep up?"
"What," looking up, spotting the supporters jumping down to help. " They led me to the slowest route? That's it!" His dived and rose out of the darkness in quick intervals to fly up off a tree. One of the fae blasted him as he morphed the shadow into a larger surfboard with straps, hanging tight and shifting in mid air so the blast could redirect him to the converging path where the others had already met up with their partners.
Vital was throwing aerial fireballs Xia jumped over to avoid the water.
Mandrew covered Rigal's flight with dragon shields.
Ainsley's partner was underwater, propelling them with their spinning ears.
Kayla used her toucan blasts from behind to accelerate Taylor further, putting him in the lead.
Lorena was waiting for him. He was about to apologize when she grabbed him by the leg and threw him towards the river.
"Lore, what's going on?"
Her face was filled with wrath. Yessenia and the Professors were most alarmed.
"Star Lorena Sanchez has attacked her own heir, what is going on?"
Her fist stretched out, bouncing off the trees to hit him. He dodged, finding her swinging from tree to tree, forcing him to parkour off his shadow, grinding and jumping to the limbs he was able to dodge as Professor Delta and Scalwave got up out of their seats.
Just as he had caught up, she catapulted off a tree, above the other heirs. He jumped off a tree, narrowly blowing himself onto her arms, running up to them and leaping off to attack her.
Lorena contracted them back, wrapping his torso and stretching her feet back.
It seems I love you as much as my family.
The words paralyzed him as she let go and her legs blasted him all the way to the rivers of the others leaving him bouncing and surfing back on the water. He used the momentum to crash into the path of the other heirs.
Lorena stretched and wrapped her arms around two trees, screaming as she ripped them out of the ground and smashed into the river, launching a tidal wave grounding half of them to the water, forcing them to struggle to adjust as they all were pushed to the finish line.
She stretched, crushing a drone's wings and putting the card right in front of them.
Betray Prince Sehki for the sake of your parents.
The audience, Sehki and Yessenia gasped as Lorena's rage filled her face and the camera.
"Touch them and I'll drown your kingdom into the ground."
She punched the camera while they conversation they had a few days ago.
"There's a possibility that supporting you means the Planetary Presidents will go after our loved ones: including my dad. I've prepared my life with the possibility he'll never wake up, so Sehki."
He was the last to pick himself up, repeating her last warning as he finished the second lap.
"Win!"
