Sehki earned the ire of his fellow heirs as he ran ahead, turning back to spot Xia and Taylor propelling themselves through the air, Rigal riding his own air current, and Ainsley skating through the earth with self made rock blades.
About to get tackled, he jumped into the shadow, dodging the former two, flying out and surfing on the current to race above the third, smacking him into them as forged a shield grating against his acquitance's newly formed rock golem. They recovered, and the five of them were running side by side.
Barring Ainsley, all of them noticed that familiar shadow magic.
"You're Shadow!?"
"Guilty," taunting them with a tongue stick and an eyelid pull, sensing the discussion was about to start amongst the populace. "So, did you like your new monikers?"
Thinking dropped their guard low. Ainsley grinned.
"'Muse of Terra' isn't the kindest description, but I'd be lying if I said it wasn't accurate."
"Well, prominence is a perfect fit for me. At least trash like you sees me stature."
"Sky Monarch? It should be Sky Alpha, you beta!"
"Your constellation beast is literally known as the Monarch of the Skies, you idiot!"
"What the hell is a distiller and what does that have to do with me?"
Sehki facepalmed upon hearing Xia and Rigal agree with Taylor.
"I see Ainsley is the only one of you who's brain lights up more than the stars. Which one of you is smarter than the other two again?"
While they bickered over that, Ainsley leaned over to Sehki. "I want to race fairly, but our parents will see I'm holding it back."
"Hey, treat it as a friendly spar. Focus more on winning the race than knocking me out, but if you don't come in last, they'll stop underestimating you."
"Right," as they entered the campus centered into a giant cave he had no ideas.
"The heirs have entered into the start of lap one, a large cavern housing the Swampflare Garden, Skyrock Sauna, and the Whirlpool Cavern. Even if your Zodiac element is Earth, you'll have a tough time getting out. Which heir will be the first to get through," flying in while several monitors following them.
They entered the garden with a rock ceiling. Out of the swamp came creatures shaped like different constellations but with legs. Sehki and Ainsley marveled at their beauty before they received info cards from the Planetary Presidents.
"Sehki, look out!"
Rigal decked him before he could hear Ainsley's warnings, stepping onto a second of the garden housing giant flowers, who spread out, sending flamethrowers burning throughout the room.
Sucking his teeth, he slipped into the darkness, stealing Rigal's card.
Defeat Prince Sehki or there will be consequences? Should've known they'd tried that, reading his own, which was blank.
I'll kick you all out of orbit, channeling a small burst of air and he threw it back into Rigal's cheeks, who was now forced to create a spiral shield for the flames to target. Taylor attempted to breeze through it easily, but got burst out of his flying jet by the flames
"I'm not using fluids from that poverty backwater setting," earning Ainsley's ire, while Xia was the first to jump and punch one of the golems back, shaking her fists as several tunnels opened in front of them.
"Let's see who can get to lap two."
"Weird, you're just going to run away from fighting these things," Sehki teased. "I thought you and Rigal were the strongest heirs known to man."
"We are," they claimed, firing a stream at the constructed creatures, while Taylor slammed into the vine flamethrower's stalk. Now four tunnels were opened, and upon hearing a deadly creature from one of them, Rigal summoned a typhoon that swallowed Sehki and dragged him in.
"No way he's surviving that. Time to win this."
The Obsidian Shadow slipped through the dark tunnel, whipping up a safe landing. He rose, surrounded by an assortment of rock and grassy constructs of different animal constellations: Scorpious, Cygnus, Hydra, Lupus, Canes, Lynx, Pegasus, Lacerta and more. Sweat dropped from the amount.
I wanted to save up my magic, but, about to summon his shadow as all the creatures leapt to shred him into smithereens.
"My power may be Minor," said a figure spraying ice onto the battlefield, tackling Sehki airborne and getting his shadow to cushion him onto her arms as they escaped the beasts struggling to gain traction against the slippery terrain.
"But this Ursa's more than enough!"
"Candy!"
Her feet were covered in ice, wearing five bladed bear-toe skates, swerving and skirting through the tunnel.
"When one of the contestants gets far enough, one of their three assistants per lap will be graded on their ability to support, navigate, or complete the lap with their respective heir. Can the Shadow Brawlers' Candy Uyocron get Prince Sehki back into the race?"
"I'll try," spotting the flying creatures chasing after them, and accelerating with fear pushing her legs to swing faster until they saw a giant hole, and the other side was way too far for a normal person to reach.
"I don't think we can make it!" She rapidly swung her fist up into the sky, designing a curved ramp.
"But we have to try!"
He grinned, holding on for dear life as they jumped off, flying high into the air. Both of their chests still had massive fear, but Sehki noted her amazement that they were flying halfway across the gasps, watching their excited reactions from a monitor. He pointed for her and they smiled like they were posing for a roller coaster.
And from below, Xia was with Vena, Ainsley was with Sven, Rigal with Capel, and Taylor with a girl he didn't know racing on a water shield he found intriguing about to head into the others when the steam from the sauna blasted Xia and Ainsley's duo up with them.
"Get back here!"
Vena's red dog manifestation hunted them down with both ladies riding on top while Ainsley was forced to ride Sven. Despite Ainsley warning him to focus on speed, the stars of the heirs agreed with the flame heir's rage, firing blasts at the Shadow Brawlers.
