You wanted to kiss him again so badly. Nobody had ever kissed you so sweetly, nor had they followed the kiss as gently as he did. Spencer made sure you were comfortable with what he had done, then when both of you were ready, had guided you back to the group with a hand on the small of your back. Neither of you said anything about it, figuring the team would probably be able to guess. Out of kindness, or maybe respect, none of them asked the two of you about what went down while you were out of sight. You finished the night by drinking with the girls, chatting with Aaron and his wife, and 'dancing' with Derek. He kept a respectful distance away but was close enough for you to converse with him, which you did. He was easy to talk to, and gave you his number and let you know you could call anytime.
Eventually the time to leave came, with Spencer letting you know that he would help you get home. He was quiet as he walked with you to the metro, and he looked slightly nervous. Maybe he was regretting kissing you, though you doubted it. Logic told you he was probably worried about you regretting the kiss, so you took his hand in yours. It was a silent way of saying you didn't regret anything from the night. Spencer looked at you and smiled, and the two of you sat in a comfortable silence the entire way there, hands locked. Once the two of you reached the apartment, he stopped. "I don't want tonight to end," he said softly, before you could ask what was wrong. Maybe it was the alcohol, or maybe you felt the same, but it was all on impulse how you responded. "So don't let it."
"Y/N, you're letting the alcohol talk." He searched your face, eyes anxious. "No, I'm not. If I let the alcohol talk, I wouldn't drink around you. Stay over. We won't do anything, I know you won't do that to me. We can just hang out, the way friends do," you said gently, holding both his hands between you. "Are you sure?"
"If I was unsure I'd be at home, pretty boy." With a nod, Spencer let you lead him into your apartment and sat on the couch. "I don't actually hang out a lot, I don't know what to do," he said. You smiled. "Honestly, half the time me and Alex hang out we just turn the tv on and do our own thing." He nodded again. "Is it alright if I get a book then?" He asked. "Doc, as long as our clothes stay on, I'm okay with you doing whatever you want," you replied.
