You woke up to the sounds of gentle snoring. The sun had begun to sneak its way into the room through a small hole in the curtains, bathing a portion of the room in a beautiful golden light. Somewhere in the back of your mind you noticed your radio playing soft music, but your attention was focused solely on the sleeping man whose arms were wrapped protectively around you. Holding you like a child would their favorite stuffed animal. As if it were the only thing that could provide comfort. You smiled to yourself and snuggled against his chest, going back to sleep.

The next time you woke up, it was to the sound of a phone ringing. Both of you were jolted awake by the noise and reached for your individual cells. It was Spencer's, and he sat up straight as fast as he could, making sure to hold you so you didn't fall off the couch. "Doctor Reid- oh- oh my god I'm sorry- I must've slept in- I'll be there soon as I can." He shut his phone and stood, apologizing profusely. You shook your head and grabbed his hand, letting him know it was okay. "Do you want me to call Alex and have him prep a coffee for you?"

"I don't have time. I'll text you when I can I guess." He quickly gathered his things, which didn't take long. You handed him his bag from next to the door. "See ya soon," you said with a smile. Spencer took his bag and put it on, then opened the door. "Yep. See ya," he said right before leaving. Like the night before hadn't happened. Was it nothing to him? You sighed and started to turn around, stopping when someone knocked. "Ye- oh!" As soon as you'd opened the door, Spencer had wrapped his arms around you and pulled you into a kiss, pulling away before you could react. "I forgot to do that before I left," he said sheepishly. You laughed and kissed him one more time before gently shoving him back. "Hurry to work, Doc. I'll be here when you get back."

With Spencer gone, you had the place back to yourself. Of course, you were the only one that lived there, so technically you always had it to yourself. Whatever the case, you were alone now, which meant you had to distract yourself. You shot a quick text to Alex saying you'd be showing up in half an hour, then went to shower. The night before kept flashing through your mind. You guys had kissed and made out... and you fell asleep cuddling on your couch. He'd kissed you goodbye. Did this mean you were dating? Or was it just a spur of the moment? No, if it were spur of the moment he wouldn't have kissed you this morning. That just wasn't how Spencer operated. You got out of the shower and got dressed, still thinking about it. After last night, you knew for a fact that you needed to get your feelings in order. There would be no avoiding it.

Alex was swamped with customers when you walked into the coffee shop, so you nodded hello and clocked in to help. He started to argue, but you pointed out that Chrissy hadn't clocked in, so he needed the assistance, whether he wanted it or not. You stayed clocked in until it slowed down, then he had you clock out and sit down. "So... how was last night?" He asked, bringing over two coffees and croissants. He needed a lunch break badly, so while he ate the place was closed, just the two of you. "Well, we kissed. I told him I didn't quite understand how I felt..." You took a cautious sip of your coffee. "We went home and he said he didn't want the night to end. I invited him in-" Alex stopped you. "Oh my god, you had sex, didn't you? Y/N! Were you drinking? You know-"

"No! We didn't. He's not like that. I'm not like that. Jesus, Alex." He nodded and took a bite of his croissant. "I invited him in and told him we could do whatever he wanted as long as we stayed dressed. He walked away to get a book and put some music on, then he came back and tossed the book on my coffee table and..." You flashed back to the night before. Your hands in his hair, his teeth tugging on your bottom lip. His hands on your hips, pulling you as close to his body as possible. The way he pulled you onto his lap so effortlessly and the way you had started grinding against him... You coughed. "We might've made out a little. Then we stopped and we fell asleep cuddling. That's it."

"What about this morning? What did he do?" Alex was really into your love life. He'd never been so into your drama before. "You're really into this," you pointed out. "I want to make sure you're being loved the way you deserve," he said seriously. "What happened this morning?" You nodded and continued. "His phone woke us up. Apparently he slept in and was late for work. Hopefully he doesn't get into too much trouble. He kissed me before he left."

"It's not a fling to him, at least. So you haven't talked to him yet?" You shook your head and watched Alex do some cleaning while he still had the place to himself. "Was going to after he got home. Which reminds me, thanks for the chocolates." He grinned. "All your favorites. You better head back home and figure out what you're gonna say to him." You nodded and stood, giving him a hug. "Thanks, Alex. See ya around."
