"Upside Down"- Jack Johnson
I stare at our interlocked fingers as I lay my head on his bare chest. We were cuddled up under a shit ton of blankets because it was cold and the only thing I had on was his big shirt and all he had on was his boxers.
"Your skin is so soft." he says as he draws circles on my arm with his fingers.
I look up at him and smile. He was so beautiful, it was unbelievable.
"Your lips are soft." I say as I kiss him.
He smiles.
"Yeah, all the girls love my lips." He jokes.
I roll my eyes as I laugh at his boyish behavior.
"Shut up." I tell him.
He chuckles.
I wrap my arms around his torso and hug him tightly. He runs his fingers through my hair and I smile. We had sex and it was the best sex I've ever had in my entire life. I felt everything he felt, we felt connected. I was his and he was mine. We were on now. Me and Garrett.
"I love you, Tay-Tay." He says.
"I love you, Garrett." I replied.
I close my eyes and feel my eyes get heavy before I knock out to the sound of his steady breathing.
When I woke up, the sun was shining through the windows and I was hurled up in a small ball on the couch. I groan as I sit up and look around me, I remember everything that happened last night and my body fills with joy. I run my hands through my messy hair before I reach over and grab my phone off the coffee table. I look down at it to see a message from my mom.
Mom: Got your note, sweet girlMom: Glad you two are okay
Mom: Let me know if you need anything
I smiled at her messages, I left a note telling her that Garrett had called and wanted to see me. It was nice to know that she supported me. My mom never failed to support me, it was the one thing I was grateful for. No matter what she made sure to be there for me.
I quickly sent her a text telling her I was okay and that I'd be home soon. I stood up and looked down at Garrett's t-shirt that was covering my underwear.
I walk into the kitchen and see my boyfriend, shirtless, standing against the counter, eating a muffin.
He looks up from his phone and smiles at me, "Good morning, beautiful girl."
"Morning." I smile as I walk over to him.
I give him a small hug before turning to the muffin sitting on the counter.
"Yum, muffins." I say as I grab one off the tray and jump up on the counter to sit.
"Blueberry muffins to be exact." He tells me.
I smile. He remembered. He remembered the small details about me that's why I love him.
"I didn't know you could cook." I voice as I enjoy my muffin.
He shrugs, "Only baking. My mom taught me a few things."
I smile, "These are good, Chef."
"Why, thank you." He smiles.
We continue to talk and enjoy our time together before his phone buzzes. He looks down at it and I watch his face practically get drained of happiness. It was such a strange thing to watch.
