Chapter 17: the Tay-Tay special

I walk into Garrett's house and once again it's packed with people. This house is literally a party house at this point. I walk through the crowd of people and look for Garrett. I push through them and run into Brennen.

"Taylor!" He yells over the music.

"Hey!" I yell, "Where's Garrett?" I ask.

"Out back!"

I nod.

"Hey, did Garrett tell you to stop talking to me? You haven't texted me at all!" He yells over the music.

"Uh, yeah, sorry. He's my friend, I can't do that to him!"

Never did I ever think I'd say that about Garrett Gray.

"Oh, okay." He says before he pushes past me and walks away.

I sigh before walking to the back. I walk out and look around and see Garrett, Jake and Lily talking.

I smile as I walk over to them.

"Hey guys." I say.

"Tay-Tay!" Garrett says as he hugs me and spins me around.

"Oh!" I laugh as he puts me down.

I look at him and see him smiling at me.

"He's totally drunk right now." Jake chuckles.

I laugh as I look at Garrett.

"Get drunk with me, Tay-Tay." He smiles.

I roll my eyes.

"Why not?" I say.

"Let's do some shots!" Lily cheers.

And that's what we do. The four of us took way too many shots and before we knew it we were wasted.

Everyone left except the roommates and us at this point. Me and Garrett were in the kitchen making margaritas. We were too drunk so we just threw a bunch of stuff plus tequila into a blender.

I laugh as Garrett dumps like half a bottle of tequila into the blender.

After we blend it he pours me a cup and I take a sip.

"Hmm, I like it." I say as I down the rest of the cup.

I take the blender from him and pour some into his mouth.

"Hmmm, you're right." He says.

"Let's take it to everyone." I say as I grab the blender and run outside.

Everyone was sitting by the pool except Lily and Jake who were sitting in the hottub.

"Everyone! May I present to you the Tay-Tay special." I slur as I place the blender on the table.

"Yay!!!" Lily cheers.

Garrett smiles as he starts handing everyone red solo cups.

I start pouring everyone some of the drink and they all start drinking.

"Yum!!!" Chris says.

I laugh.

"This shits good." Jake says.

"Why thank you." I smile.

"Lets dance!" I cheer.

Chris grabs his speaker and starts blasting music, Jake and Lily climb out of the hottub and start to dance with us. I drink my drink as I dance with everyone.

"Woooo!" I yell as I chug the rest of my drink.

Garrett comes over to me with the blender of our strange drink and pours some into my cup.

"You're so sweet." I say as I pinch his cheek.

He smiles before placing a kiss on my head.

"Ooooooo!" Chris says as he laughs at us.

Garrett chuckles as he throws his arm around my shoulder.

"Wanna go for a swim?" Garrett asks.

I nod before chugging the rest of my drink down.

Lily brought an extra bikini so I was wearing that.

The sun was starting to set already, the guys kicked everyone out way earlier than I thought. But hey, we got to stay so I wasn't complaining.

I jumped into the pool and it wasn't that cold. We were too drunk to even know if it was too cold or not.

Garrett jumps in with me and I laugh as he splashes water in my face.

"I love being drunk." I say as I float on my back.

"And I love being around you." Garrett smiles.

I look into his drunk eyes and smile.

"Guys! I'm cold." Lily says.

"Let's go inside." Jake says.

"Yeah, let's go play beer pong!" Chris says as he runs inside.

They all get up and start to make their way inside.

Brennen stands up from his chair and looks at me and Garrett, who were still in the pool.

"You guys coming?" He asks.

"In a bit." Garrett says as he stares at me, not even acknowledging his friend.

Brennen doesn't say anything and gives me a sad look before going back inside.

"He's mad at me." I tell Garrett.

"He'll get over it." He says.

I look at him and give him a pointed look.

"I'm way too drunk to snap at you right now." I say before I sink myself underwater.

I stayed underwater for a minute, enjoying the silence.

I swim back up to get air and see Garrett just smiling at me.

"What?" I ask.

"You're gonna get a cold tomorrow." He says.

I shrug.

"Oh well." I say as I tread water.

He smirks.

I smile and roll my eyes.

"I love your smile." He says.

I look at him and feel my heart start to race.

"Shut up." I laugh.

He chuckles.

We stare at each other as we both tread water.

"How's your mom?" He asks.

"Good, she likes you. She thinks you're really sweet." I tell him.

"I'm glad." He smiles.

We both looked at each other in silence again before he moved a little closer to me till our faces were inches apart.

"Taylor?" He whispers against my lips.

"Mhm." I hum.

"Are you sure you don't like me more than a friend?" He asks.

I stare into his drunk eyes.

"I'm not sure at all" I whisper.

He smirks before he leans in and fills the gap between us.

I smile against his lips as our lips move in sync. I wrap my legs around his waist, making him groan.

He runs his hands down my bare back as he slips his tongue into my mouth making me moan.

God, I love his lips.
