I sit in the passenger seat of Garrett's car, my heart pounding so hard. I had 911 typed on my phone in my hand. I was so fucking scared. I didn't know what else to do, I shouldn't have left him there. But I couldn't sit in that room either. My mind was racing, my palms were sweating, my body was shaking.

I look at the front door of his house just as it opens and my heart stops. I watched my boyfriend walk out, his head bowed down. He was limping, I knew exactly what fucking happend.

He gets into the car and sits in the driver seat, still not looking at me. I fight back my tears as I look at him. I could see the blood dripping from his busted lip and the bruising forming under his eye.

"Look at me." I tell him.

"Let's just go." He whispers as he puts his seatbelt on.

"Garrett, I said look at me." I repeat again, this time my tone was harsher and angrier.

He sighs before he finally lifts his head up to reveal all the damage his father had caused. I feel a strong ache in my chest like I was the one who got hit. I couldn't take it anymore, I couldn't see him like this.

Without thinking, I get out of the car and storm towards the front door, ignoring the sound of my name being called by my boyfriend. I shove the door open and rush inside, I enter the living room to find his father walking up the stairs.

"Hey, asshole!" I shout as I stop at the bottom of the stairs.

He turns around and looks at me. I looked down at his hands that had the blood of his son on them. How could a human being be so messed up?

"Who the fuck do you think you are? Huh?" I scream on top of my lungs as he slowly walks down the stairs towards me.

I wasn't scared of him. I wasn't. I promised myself I'd protect Garrett and that's exactly what I was doing. Protecting him.

"Watch your fucking tone, you little bitch." He warns me, sticking his finger in my face.

"Taylor, stop. Let's go." I hear Garrett's voice from behind me.

I glare at his father before slapping him right across the face, "Call me a bitch again and I won't hestitate to call the fucking cops on you. They'll have your ass behind bars in no time!" I warned him.

"Taylor!" I hear Garrett yell as he pulls me away from his father.

I watch Grace rush down the stairs behind her husband but I don't stop. I wasn't going to let this asshole get away with this.

"How could you? How could you do that to him? Your own fucking son!" I scream as Garrett holds me back.

"You have a lot of nerve coming into my house and telling me how to raise my child!" He shouts as Grace holds him back from me.

"That's what you call raising a child? You really are fucked up in the head!" I shout.

"Taylor, come on. Leave it." Garrett tells me.

"No! He has no right to lay his hands on you like that!" I remind him as I shove his hands off me.

I look back at his father who was glaring at me, "You touch him one more time and I'll fucking end your life myself. I don't care who you think you are." I warned him.

"I'd like to see you fucking try, little girl." He snaps.

I rushed over to him and slapped him in the face again, letting out all my rage as I pulled at his hair. He goes to push me but Garrett stops him by grabbing me and throwing me over his shoulder.
