Taylor

"Two Ghosts"- Harry Styles
I stare at the door I just slammed in Garrett's voice. My heart was beating so fucking fast, he showed up. He came. He showed up at my door. What was I supposed to do? He didn't love me. It was fake. Then why was he at my door telling me he did?
"Taylor?" I hear Lily's voice.
I turn around and see her looking at me with a pained look on her face.
"Are you okay?" She asks.
"No." I say before I walk to my room, closing the door behind me. I couldn't handle anyone asking me that. I couldn't handle any of this. I was confused with all my feelings. Seeing him again at my door did something to me. I still loved him. No matter how bad he hurt me, I still loved him. And I hated myself for it.
I fall onto my bed and sigh as I run my fingers through my hair. What the fuck? God, he needs to get out of my head.
I needed help.
I laid in my room for an hour or two, it was pouring outside. It was one of those rainy, depressing nights. It reminded me of the night we broke up outside of his house in the pouring rain. I still remember driving home that night with tears running down my face. The pouring rain didn't help, I was certain that I would crash the car or somthing. But I didn't, surprisingly. I looked at the necklace that was still sitting on my nightstand, collecting dust. I haven't touched it since that night, whenever I did, I felt like I was being burned or something. My heart was aching just looking at the piece of jewelery.
Tears were forming in my eyes before I heard the sound of Jake's voice outside my bedroom door.
"I need to talk to Taylor!" He yells before my bedroom door bursts open.
I quickly sit up and see Jake soaking wet with a worried look on his face. I frown at look at his frantic behavior.
"Garrett got into an accident." He reveals.
And just like that everything around me stopped. It went quiet. I wasn't exaggerating, it really went quiet. I felt like I couldn't breathe. My body was forgetting how to function.
I stared at Jake in shock but didn't say a word as I got up and pushed him out of the way before I ran out to see Brennen talking to Lily.
They both look at me and the second my eyes meet Brennen's I feel embarrassment fill me. I thought he was my friend but he was lying to me the entire time. He made me feel like an idiot.
"Taylor." He says.
I ignore him before I grab my purse and keys. I didn't have anything to say to him right now, all that mattered to me was Garrett. I needed to make sure he was okay.
"Taylor, wait." Brennen says as he grabs my arm.
"Let go of me, Brennen." I snap as I stare down at his hand that was wrapping around my arm.
"I'll take you to the hospital." He offers.
"I said let go of me." I told him again, ignoring him.
"Brennen." Jake warned.
Brennen looks at Jake before letting go of my arm. I turn and walk out of the apartment. I run down the stairs and run into the pouring rain as I get into my car.
I speed down the road to the hospital with my heart breaking into a million pieces all over again. I can't lose him now, he can't die thinking I hated him.
Please. Please don't leave, Garrett.
Once I reach the hospital, I park and get out, I don't waste a second before I start sprinting to the entrance. I ran inside, soaking wet. I go up to the front desk and the lady looks at me like I'm crazy.
