"We're Going to Be Friends"- The White Stripes

I walk out of the master bedroom bathroom and look around the room, waiting for Garrett to come back. I walk over to the massive bookshelf and look at all of the trophies and medals he had from hockey. I picked up a photo frame of him when he was a little kid, he was in a hockey uniform and was smiling at the camera while he held his hockey stick. I laugh a little at his crooked teeth before the bedroom door opens and Garrett walks in with a big bowl.

"Nosy much." He says as he looks at me.

"You used to have some real fucked up teeth." I sneer.

He rolls his eyes as he places the bowl on the coffee table by the couch. Hi

"Yes, but now my smile is just drop dead gorgeous." He brags as he falls down onto the couch.

I ignore his snarky comment and sit down next to him and grab the bowl off the table.

"Sitting closer to me, huh?" He chuckles.

"I wanted the popcorn, not you." I smile at him.

"Excuses, excuses." He mocks.

I roll my eyes at him and gently slap the back of his head earning me a small laugh. I hold the bowl in my lap as we both share it.

I looked over at how amazing his body was, he had nice muscles and fine abs. I noticed a small bruise on his ribcage that looked fresh.

He leans forward to grab the TV remote and that's when I notice all the scars on his back. These didn't seem as fresh, they were old. One of them almost looked like a scar of a belt or something. He falls back onto the couch where I couldn't see his bare back.

"You have a lot of bruises and scars." I voice.

He looks at me before following my gaze to his ribcage.

"Hockey." He says before reaching into the bowl on my lap and grabbing a handful of popcorn.

I studied his face, he was lying. The marks on his back weren't from hockey, how could they leave scars like that. It wasn't possible, was it?
He catches me staring and smirks, "You checking me out, Tay-Tay?"

I sigh and shake my head, "Get over yourself." I say as I turn back to the TV.

He chuckles but I keep my gaze on the TV show. All I could picture were the scars on his back. I wanted to ask him but I was scared. I didn't want to upset him. It wasn't my place to be nosy.

We continued to watch the show and he seemed to be really enjoying it. We were flying through all the episodes not paying attention to the time or anything. We were just laughing and enjoying each other's company.

"Yes! I fucking love Jess!" Garrett cheers as we watch Rory and Jess kiss at Sookie's wedding.

"Fuck Dean!" I cheer.

Garrett chuckles before he throws his arm over my shoulder. I look at him and see him smiling at the screen. I don't push his arm off, I just lean into him a little and continue watching. He smelt good and his body heat kept me warm. We were already on season 2, I don't know how but we just kept watching and eating popcorn. We got refills twice, I forgot that Garrett's a hockey player so he's a hungry guy.

I yawn, feeling my eyes get heavy. I reach next to me and grab my phone to see the time.

1 am.

"Oh fuck. It's late." I voice.

I see a bunch of messages from Lily who was worried about where I was. I didn't even realize the time or the fact that I should've texted her.

"I'm gonna call an uber." I tell Garrett.
