The mergeverse

{AN: This part is going to take place after the chapter that @FanFicLover6982 wrote in their own book about my character. Moon and Dagger have met and introduced themselves to each other. This will also be the first chapter I'm writing in Dagger's POV for first person. Enjoy^^}

Remind me again why we're trusting this person again? I had unfortunately listened to Killer and Horror when they said we should trust this stranger. Because. They're like you. A human who's been merged with monsters. One of the monsters they've been merged with was our boss. Not the explanation I was expecting but oh well. I followed this new person, 'Moon' as they called themselves. I quite frankly didn't trust them, but if they were like me, maybe they could help me deal with all this.

I must've been staring off into space or some shit while walking with Moon, because at one point they tapped me on the shoulder. "Uh, you alright? You look pissed off about about something?" I looked over at them with a confused expression. "Hm? What do ya mean-?"

"You were kinda just zoned out I think, but you looked annoyed by something." Oh, that. Right. "Oh yeah sorry about that, was having a little uh, chat with the idiots I happened to merge with." God that felt weird being so casual about. Why am I even telling this person that? "I'm fine though. Don't worry 'bout me." Liarrrr. You ain't nowhere near being fine. And of course now they were back to being annoying. Shut it Killer. You're lucky you're just a voice in my head right now or I'd fucking punch you. Now both of you shut it until we get to wherever we're being taken to.

The walk felt like it was taking forever, and quite frankly I was getting real bored. "How long is this gonna take? We've been walking for what feels like ages." Should I have been complaining? Probably not but I didn't care. I was bored and tired of walking. Not my fault I like complaining when given the chance. "Yeah, we'll be there soon. Just be patient." They rolled their eyes at what I could only guess was a response to what one of the monsters they had been merged with said.

I had been keeping up my guard this whole time. It felt weird that we had been walking for so long, when I knew for a fact that this person could teleport, considering they had explained that was how they got to my universe in the first place. "I've been patient, but this is taking forever." Eventually we came to an empty area in the woods. I recognized this area as where I found the cabin that one time. Hold up. How long have we been walking? Was it really not as long as I thought? Weird. "Soooo, why are we here?" 

"To get out of view from people before we teleport out of here." Moon said, and suddenly there was a portal looking thing in front of us. "Woah okay what the fuck, I didn't agree to go into some random portal." They looked at me with an expression that I guess what their way of saying 'Are you fucking serious?'

"What? Look I get I made some stupid decisions to get myself into this situation, but I'm not about to make more." They just rolled their eyes at me. "It's a portal. How is that where you draw the line?" 

"In case you haven't realized, I still don't trust you. I dunno where that portal might lead. I only agreed because I know this place well enough, but that portal is not something I'm used to."

They just looked at me with a slightly amused expression. "Yet you trusted me enough to follow me out into the woods?" God why was I put into this situation, I hate explaining myself. "Yes, because I know the woods and all of it's shortcuts. I knew I could get away if I needed to."

"Oh my God okay fine, I'll go into the damn portal just quit giving me that look." I reluctantly stepping into the portal, and they followed after. God I hoped I wouldn't regret this.
