{???'s POV (1st person):}
I was in a completely random universe, no idea where I was. It felt promising though. I found myself wondering around a forest, just reading through Dagger's file once more. There was barely any info on this dude and it kinda pissed me off. Like come on, if I'm supposed to find a vessel I've never even met, some details on them would be nice. But I guess since they were a new subject, there wasn't much they'd know about them. Couldn't complain too much.
I sent the file back to my storage pocket dimension, and as I did I noticed something out of the corner of my eye. It was something blackish yellow, and as soon as I turned to look at it, it had left. I tired following it, or at least where I thought it might've gone.
I looked around the tree where I had seen the yellow thing, and spotted what appeared to be some kind of monster. I knew it wasn't human, because whatever it was, it had tentacles on it's back. The tentacles must've been what I saw. I quietly climbed up the tree to get a better look at it, and as I did, it turned around, most likely having heard the tree rustling.
Another vessel huh? Definitely not the one I'm looking for though. I found a sturdy branch, then swung down from it. My legs kept me hanging from the branch as I found myself now face to face with this new vessel.
They seemed a bit shocked, which was fair, I kinda just came out of nowhere. However they seemed to quickly notice I was a vessel as well, and calmed down. "You're new, how come I've never seen you before?" The vessel asked, looking at me a bit skeptically. "Could ask you the same thing. The name's Cozbi though, pleasure to meet you." I said, sticking out my hand for them to shake. "Tavnora. Nice to meet you too I suppose." She surprisingly shook my hand, seeming to actually trust me even if it was just a bit.
"So, mind answering my question? Why have I have seen you before?" Right, forgot I wasn't exactly from this universe. Or really whatever universe this person may be from. "I'm not from this universe. I'm here looking for another vessel. Actually-" I dropped down from the tree quickly. "-do you think you may have seen him?" I grabbed the file from it's pocket dimension and showed it to Tavnora. "Looks like this. Escaped from a lab in my universe and I was told to look for him."
Tavnora looked at it for a bit then nodded. "Yes, actually. I'm actually currently looking for that same vessel's friend. I last saw them breaking out of a lab earlier. Don't know where they went from there though. Perhaps we could help each other out?" I nodded in agreement, help was always nice with this kind of stuff. "Sounds like a deal."
{Dagger's POV (1st person):}
I decided to finally get up and head back up to the bathroom to fix up my bandages, and to see how the wounds are doing. I took the one on my head off first, blinking a bit to see properly again. God the wound looked pretty terrible. Luckily the ones on my arms and legs hadn't actually been that bad. I rebandaged myself up again, dreading the moment I'd be stuck being blind again.
I reached up and felt the wound. It felt jagged against my skin. I caught a glimpse of the black stuff that had been on my arm, only to notice it was now covering more of my arm than before. That scared me a bit. Would it cover my whole body at some point? That was a scary thought for sure. I decided to push it away for now and just work on getting myself patched back up.
Once finished, I headed back downstairs. I got over by the couch, and was about to sit down, when I suddenly felt a shock throughout my body. Then I remembered the collar. I hadn't been able to get it off. Shit shit shit shit no. I tugged at the collar some more, I tried ripping it with the claws I had recently acquired. I eventually felt it rip a bit, and used that to tear it off of my neck the rest of the way.
I could feel it tear at my skin a bit but I got it off and threw it at the ground, my body shaking. The shock was gone now, and I could now see how the collar worked. There had been little metal pieces around the insides, which must latch onto the skin to both cause the shock and keep the collar on the neck.
I could feel the blood dripping down my neck, but I couldn't get my body to move. I felt frozen in place. Once the panic left my body, I struggled my way back up to the bathroom to bandage up my neck that I knew would be too vital if left bleeding out much longer.
{I love ending on the worst times ever. It's funny lmao. Anyway yeah that's all for this, we now finally have a name for our mystery boi, and his design will probably just be added to this chapter soon after I publish it lol. Reminder this au belongs to my friend @FanFicLover6982 as well as Tavnora. They have their own book which lines up with mind a bit so you should totally check theirs out as well.}
