Unsolved Tension.

I was just wandering around different universes, trying to clear my mind up, when I noticed someone else. Another vessel, seemingly doing the same. We both kind of noticed each other at the same time. I didn't fully trust them at first, until my other half spoke up. They should be trustworthy. I know the monster they're merged with, I had been good friends with him. As long as the actual host is a good person, we'll be fine. And being merged with the monster they are, it's be pretty difficult to be a bad person.

I trusted Swaps words, and the other vessel seemed to have been having a similar conversation with their other half. I waved hello, trying to appear friendly so they could trust me at least a bit more. They waved back, walking a bit closer. "Hey there, I'm Kit."

"I'm Corbin, nice to meet you. I'm guessing the monster you're merged with said to trust me or something?" They nodded. "Same with you?" I nodded as well. "Yeah, guess they knew each other or something like that."

We made some small talk, and eventually they decided to bring me back to their universe to meet some of their friends. But of course, my luck wasn't very good. One of the first people I saw was Dagger and his friend. Kit still introduced me to them. Though, they must've realized we knew each other, due to Dagger tensing up a bit around me, very obviously shooting glares at me. God I hated having tension like this with people.

{Dagger's POV (First person):}

It felt as if I was just being hit with karma the moment I saw Kit bringing Corbin in. Like fate wanted us to make up. Kit tried introducing us, but I felt myself tensing up as soon as he got close. Kit clearly noticed this. "Ok, you two know each other clearly. Would it be intruding if I asked what the hell happened between you?" I just shook my head no. "No. It wouldn't be. But it's a long story, and I don't feel like getting into it right now." I felt Miles gently grab my hand again, this was becoming his way of telling me to calm the fuck down.

I took a few deep breaths, trying to calm myself the best I could. "I'll put it short. We dated at one point in high school, and we broke up on bad terms. There's just, still a lot of tension between us." Kit seemed to understand and dropped it. "Well, sorry about kind of bringing that tension back up."

"It's fine, this isn't even the first time I've seen him today, I'd be dealing with the tension either way. Plus, you didn't know. It's not really your fault." She still seemed to feel a bit guilty by it, but I couldn't really change her mind that much even if I tried. "So, I guess it'd make sense to ask how you two kinda met I guess?"

"Oh, was just kinda universe hopping, ended up running into him, and the monsters we're merged with told us to trust the other because they knew each other at one point." Well, that was reasonable at least. Kit and Corbin then left so she could introduce him to some of the others. I guessed she probably would be looking for Moon next.

I decided to try and get a bit of sleep for once, as I really hadn't gotten much since the whole issue with the labs. I laid my head down on Miles' lap, much like I had kept doing before I got straight up fucking kidnapped. It felt nice to be able to do this again. And soon enough, I felt myself drifting off to sleep.

{Vamp's  POV (Third person):}

"This had been your idea! Why are you so mad about it!?" Vamp and Corbin were fighting. Again. "I had the idea for you to pretend to be their friend! Not for you to just turn on me and ditch me for those fake ass whores!" Vamp didn't want to be fighting over this, but here they were.

"I said to pretend for a while and then fuckin' leave them to fuck with them a bit! But now you're just as fucking fake as them!" He was pissed. He had trusted Corbin. His first and only friend and lover. And now that trust was broken. "I'm sorry okay! Maybe if you actually tried talking to them-"

"No! There is no talking to them! Do I have to remind you I had to save your ass from them because they bullied you in your junior year? They're assholes! They don't care about others! And now you're considering them as friends?? God I can't believe I ever liked you. You only care about being popular now. You had a taste of it and couldn't get enough." Vamp was tired of this. He wasn't gonna bother hearing Corbin's reasonings. "Just go. I'm done with you. I'm done trusting you. Go hang out with you're new friends, since they're so much more important apparently."

With that, Vamp left. Not letting Corbin try to reason him out of this. He didn't wanna hear it. His trust was broken, there was no fixing it.
