Moon reacted well to Miles, though he seemed a bit nervous around her. I mean I didn't blame him. He's not exactly used to seeing merged vessels, and they can be pretty scary at times. We both headed out to the living room and Moon headed somewhere else, I wasn't sure exactly where, but I was guessing she was probably just gonna go have some alone time. Or well, as much alone time as she could have.
"Bro, your friend is fucking scary. Like no offense or anything to her, but goddamn." I just laughed a bit and shook my head. "You'll get used to it. Now c'mon. I need to get remerged because this-" I motioned at myself being unmerged. "-is really uncomfortable right now."
The remerging hadn't gone as horribly as I thought it would. I didn't pass out this time luckily, but I did get very dizzy and loose my balance and Miles had to help me make sure I didn't fall over. The dizziness had given me a headache, which was horrible. "Blegh. I actually hate this so much more right now." I complained. Me and Miles had moved to sit on the couch. I had ended up just laying down with my head in his lap because laying down made my head hurt less and the couch wasn't really big enough for me to do so without having to be sitting like that.
The headache eventually went away, but I just didn't feel like getting up. I was honestly too tired to anyways. "Y'know, you could get some rest. You look exhausted right now." Miles said, running his fingers through my hair a bit. "I'll be fineee. I'm not that tired right now." Dagger fucking listen to him and sleep. Forgot I had to deal with them as well Just great. Ugh, fine.
"Ok nevermind fine, I'll sleep or whatever. You sure you don't mind." Miles nodded. "I'm positive, I care about your health, and you've clearly been using way too much energy these past few days, you need rest." I hated how right he was with that.
I was actually pretty comfortable how I was laying, and felt myself drifting off to sleep pretty easily.
{???'s POV (3rd person):}
The boy was in a room he didn't recognize. He saw a woman standing near him, a worried expression on her face. "Oh thank heavens you're awake!" He looked at her with a confused expression. "Huh? Who are you..? Where am I??"
"You're in my house dear. You can call me Ms. Darla. I found you out in the woods while on a trip a couple days ago. Your face had been all bloodied so I brought you back with me and got you all patched up." She seemed like a sweet woman, but the boy couldn't help but hate her. She was why he wasn't dead. She was why he wasn't with his brother and mom in the afterlife.
...
The boy had continued to live with Ms. Darla. She took care of him as if he was her own son. But he just hated her. He refused to see her as his mother. She was just the woman who took care of him.
She had applied him to a school, which he really didn't like. People made fun of him. There were constant rumors of his past. Some said he'd killed his whole family and that's why he lived with Ms. Darla. Some said he had been a runaway kid she found. There were many more similar, but in the end, the boy knew none of them would ever know the truth. None of them would ever bother to see him beyond the rumors.
So he played into them. He stayed as the weirdo quiet kid.
...
"Oh look what we have here, the freak is drawing something, hm? Why don't we take a little look at what it is?" The girl grabbed the notebook from his hands. He didn't even try and stop her. "Heh, look at that. The freak's drawing monsters. Hey weirdo, maybe you should join all the monsters if you like them so much."
He was used to hearing that kind of stuff. Constantly. He was ready to listen to them. To just kill himself already. He was tired of the torment.
...
He was standing up on the rooftop, looking down at the school entrance. No one was down there. Everyone else was either in class or at lunch, like he was supposed to be right now. But instead he was over here, planning to jump off and end it all. The only thing currently stopping him from doing so was the chain-link fence that lined the roof.
He started to climb up it. It was difficult, but he managed. And once he got to the top of it, he then climbed down onto the other side it it and onto the very small ledge that was left, holding onto the fence for support.
Taking one final step, he felt himself falling, and soon, everything went black.

{Miles' POV (1st person)}
It felt weird having such a close connection with someone I had just met a couple days ago. Especially someone as odd as Dagger was. Yet here I was on the couch with him laying in my lap. He had fallen asleep rather quickly and I wasn't even that surprised. With everything he had told me had happened over the last few days, it was easy to assume just how tired he was.
I couldn't help but gently run my fingers through his hair as he slept, trying to keep his sleep somewhat calm. A few times while he was sleeping, I felt him flinch a bit, and I figured he was likely having nightmare of some kind. He had told me about the fact he had frequent dreams of memories from his past. I guessed it was another one of those.
Whenever it happened, I just tried my best to calm him back down, and he was back to normal, whether or not the nightmares actually went away or not, it was at least helping a bit.
{Gonna end this here, the chapter is getting a bit long and im out of ideas on how to continue this. Reminder that moon belongs to @FanFicLover6982 who I can still for some reason not properly @. There will be a picture added to this at some point, i just dont know when because i still need to make it and its late so if theres one when youre reading this congrats this means basically nothing to you lmao}
