???'s POV (3rd person):
It had ended up falling asleep in a shadowed part of the woods. When it woke up, there was a new humanoid asleep by the first one. The creature knew it'd be best to get out of there quick, in case it was spotted. It quickly got up and ran. Eventually it found a nice secluded area, climbed into a large tree, and sat up there, falling asleep again..
Daggers POV (1st person):
I woke up and noticed Moon standing there. "Have a good nap I suppose?" She said as I was sitting up and rubbing my eyes a bit. "C'mon, I've got something I wanna show you." With that they teleported the both of us back to the castle. When we got back, we headed over to a seating area, and they pulled out a book. "Huh? What's that?"
The book was what seemed to be just a regular ol' book. There was the word 'Vessel' on the cover, with a monster soul. "Is that like a book on monsters or somethin'?" Moon shook her head. "Not really. It's about vessels. Aka what we both are." Ok yeah that made more sense. "Wait so then why's there a monster soul on it?" Moon just shrugged. They opened up to the first page, letting me read it. "Woah. That soul literally looks exactly how mine had before this whole merge thing."
"Mhm, I wanted to make sure I read this with you, since it applies to both of us." We spent the next couple of hours reading the book and trying to figure out what it all means, and eventually we were both getting too tired and decided that it was time to take a bit of a break. I looked outside and noticed it was basically pitch black outside. "Damn, it's nearly midnight. How long have we been reading?"
"How the heck do you know what time it is just by looking outside?" I looked over at her, a bit confused. "Oh, that's not a normal thing? Huh. It's been a skill I've had since I was a kid. Never thought it was very odd though." Moon thought for a minute but just kinda shrugged. "Never something I've seen someone do. It's neat though. But I guess you're right, it has gotten late, we should probably sleep, or at the very least rest a bit."
I nod. "Alright, talk to ya later I guess. I'm gonna go out and do a bit of stargazing before I go to sleep. Feel free to join me if you'd like." I then went outside, searching for a nearby but clear spot to look up at the stars.
???'s POV (3rd person):
It woke up after a couple hours. Deciding to head back to the clearing, it quickly made its way back. The humanoids had both left, so the creature decided to actually check out this little clearing.
It noticed a rock with some carvings in it. The main one was a name: Altair. The name felt familiar as well. There were also some small carvings that didn't seem to be much of anything aside from being there to make the rock look nicer. Or at one point made it look nicer. It was seemingly withering away slowly. The creature, bored once again, curled up by the rock and looked up at the stars.
{Woo, another chapter done. Be expecting the creature some more, because it is going to become very important later on. Anyways, hope you enjoy this, reminder this is being mixed with my friend @FanFicLover6982, and Moon is her character.}
