It was calm. The boy was listening to music and drawing again. He was drawing a Light dweller, the opposite of a Shadow Walker. Both were his favorites of the monsters. He was sitting up against a tree, away from most others. He looked up for a bit, noticing a group of maybe 3 kids, all seniors. There was someone else over there but the boy couldn't see from where he was, so he got up to see better. He held his sketch book tightly under his arm.
As he got closer, he noticed in front of them, on the ground was another kid, likely a sophomore. The kid was covered in water, and the group of kids had been laughing at him. The boy was pissed off at seeing someone else being picked on. Especially when it was one of the younger kids in the high school.
He walked a bit closer to the group of older kids, moving his sketchbook so it was gripped into his hands. When close enough, he whacked the one who looked to be the leader of the group in the back of the head with the sketchbook, shooting a glare at her. She fell forward a bit, but caught herself. "What the hell?!"
She straightened herself out a bit then pushed the boy away from her. "The hell was that for freak?" The boy continued to glare at her. "Just fuck off and leave this kid alone." She scoffed, but listened, and her and the two others walked away.
He then looked down at the other boy, going over and helping him up. "Sorry about them, they think they run the damn school." The boy looked thankful. "It's fine, thanks for saving me there. I'm Corbin by the way."
"I'm Vamp, nice to meet you." He said with a smile. "Now c'mon, let's go get you dried off at the nurse."
...
He was suddenly somewhere different. A forest, it's trees stretching out miles in all directions. He heard something behind him. A voice of some kind. It was a woman's voice, looking for him. So he ran. He ran as far as he could.
His legs didn't even start hurting. His surroundings were a blur around him. His heart felt like it was about to explode in his chest with how fast it was beating. He didn't wanna be found. He wanted to just disappear. Forgotten, even.
None of this felt real anymore.
"Because it isn't. Wake up."
He turned towards the voice. There was nothing there.
"Wake up. None of this is real. It's all a dream."

{Dagger's POV (First person):}
I jolted awake, trying to processes what just happened and where I was. Of course. The lab. I was back. New chains had been put on my wrists, and I could feel a new shock collar around my neck as well.
It was also far too quiet in my mind.
