{Lucifer's POV (First person):}
I had decided to go back to go back to the library in the castle, just looking through books again. I had always enjoyed reading, so it was really the only thing to do as entertainment for the time being. Plus, Nightmare had kept some interesting books in his library, so y'know, why not.
After a little bit, Fable and their friend, Alora, had came in. Fable introduced me to Alora, and then the two explained why they had came looking for me in the first place. Something about needing help convincing Tavnora to try and change for the better. They explained pretty much everything they thought would be useful to know.
It made me realize how similar she really was to me.
I agreed to help, I mean it gave me something to do, and part of me did think Tavnora could change, she just needed more reason to try.
The two brought me to where Tavnora was, and as we got the, Alora went up to her, and I'm guessing let her know I was there. She came back over after a few moments of talking to Tavnora. "She knows you're here now, but is refusing to come over."
I nod in understanding. "Alright, I'll go chat with her. Why don't you two explore a bit? I'm sure there's probably plenty of stuff left lying around, considering this was basically just a giant store at one point." They nodded and ran off, both clearly happy to be able to explore such an odd place.
I walked over to Tavnora, who was currently sitting on one of the benches. I just stood by her at first, not feeling the need to sit down right away. She didn't exactly seem happy to see me. We just sat there in silence for a moment, before she spoke up. "I know why you're here. You of all people isn't gonna be any help like she thinks you will be."
It was quiet for another moment, until I decided to speak up this time. "I'll be more help than you think. You remind me a lot of myself, y'know." She looked up, confused. "Really? You? We're nothing alike. I'm just nothing but violent and you're.. just not. You're always just so.. calm. How on earth could I possibly remind you of yourself?"
"I wasn't always this way, I'm only the way I am because of things that happened in my past. I think we're more similar than you realize." I glanced at the ring on my finger with a sigh, then looked back over at her. "Just.. know I understand your situation. Not exactly, but parts of it. More specifically, losing someone who was.. very important to you." She just sighed and looked away. "She told you about that, huh? And how exactly could you possibly understand that feeling?"
"I've lost people in my life too. People very important to me. It's hard to deal with. And even if the reasons these people were important to us were different, it's still all the same feeling." She seemed a bit curious now. "Who.. did you lose..?"
"Well, lot's of people. I mean hell I lost my whole universe. But, the two most important to me that I lost were my husband and daughter. And honestly, I'm sure you've probably been dealing with loss for much longer than I have, but y'know, it's a feeling that doesn't seem to change, no matter how long you deal with it." She nodded a bit. "I guess you're right.. yeah. You already know who I lost I suppose. He's honestly the only reason I fight now that I'm thinking about it.."
"And that's another way we're similar. We've both kept fighting because someone told us to." I looked off into the distance, looking out at the old abandoned mall. "Just think about it some more, alright kid? You're more deserving of change than I think you realize." I said, then walked off to go find Alora and Fable, and possibly explore this place a bit myself.
It was still pretty intact, oddly enough. Most shops were closed off, but were able to be easily opened up. I was right about stuff still being here too. It seemed like whatever caused this place to stop being used made people not care about what they left.
I eventually found the two kids, and continued to just walk around with them, as they wanted to keep exploring.
