The mergeverse

Anger.

I woke back up at Moon/Nightmare's castle. I figured Lucifer had brought me back after I passed out, but I wondered how he knew how to even go here. I decided to not question too much, and tried to focus on the fact that I was hopefully remerged now. Killer? Horror? You guys there? 

Yeah, we're back, don't worry. But what the heck happened to you? I sat up, rubbing my head a bit, trying to think. Lab. Again. I got up from the couch, then walked around a bit, hoping to find Lucifer, Moon, Kit or just someone who I would know is on my side.

I finally found them outside, talking. "Oh, you're awake, good. You feeling alright?" I heard Lucifer say as I walked up to them. "Yeah. Bit of a headache but nothing too bad." My head felt like it was throbbing if I was being completely honest, but I'd rather not worry them. "Where's Moon?"

Kit looked at me with a bit of a worried expression. "She's uh, been missing since you got taken." I felt a mix of anger and worry. "What..?" Hey, calm down. I heard Horrors voice. You're getting really angry, just calm down before you do something you'll regret.

I tired. I really did. But my emotions were barely under my control at this point. I managed to stay a bit calmer, but I was still pissed. I knew exactly who had to have taken her.

I remembered being brought to the lab a couple weeks ago. I had briefly woken up while the vessel was talking to someone else. Looked like another vessel of sorts. They had been talking about going to find Moon. Specifically the other one was gonna go find her. I knew none of the details as I had passed back out too quick, but it was something.

Dagger. Let me take control while you calm down, okay? I agreed, but only because it was Horror asking, and I trusted him more than Killer. It really did feel nice not having to actually be in control of my body for once. To be able to just relax and calm down.

{Horror's POV (First person):}

It felt weird with how much the body had changed since the last time I had been in control of it, but I got used to it pretty quick. I noticed the other two looking at me a bit confused. "Oh, shit, yeah he probably just zoned out for a hot minute while doing that didn't he. It's Horror in control right now, Dagger needed to calm down."

They both nodded in understanding. "Ok real quick, Dagger was kinda ranting to himself for a moment about remembering seeing another vessel, which he thinks might've taken Moon. He had no like, description of them, just that they had been talking to the guy who had brought him back to the lab."

Kit looked a bit surprised. "Wait, do you think Dagger could confirm maybe what they looked like if I give details? I.. have an idea I might know who it was." You good with that? I asked him. Yeah, that's fine. I should be able to recall it. 

I nodded. "He said that'd be fine."

"Ok so, did they have tentacles, kinda like Moon, just a yellowish color?" Yeah. I think they had been holding onto me with them actually. I nodded. "According to him, yes." Kit looked a bit worried. "Well, might know who it is then. I saw another vessel a couple weeks ago, I had thought it was Moon at first, but realized it wasn't after a moment. I've had a bad feeling about them this whole time. My suspicions might be right then."

"There's not much to do though if we don't know for sure." Lucifer chimed in. "Unless we can figure out for sure where she is and who took her, then there's no point in hoping it could be this vessel. You two should stay here and make sure you're both safe for the time being. I'll try and figure this stuff out, out of the three of us it's safest for me to try. I can just let you guys know anything I figure out."

I nodded in agreement, especially with Dagger's current state, it was especially dangerous to us to try and figure stuff out. Kit looked a bit hesitant about it, but agreed as well. With that, Lucifer teleported away, and me and Kit went back inside. Hey, can I have control back now? I heard Dagger's voice chime in from the otherwise quiet my thoughts had been. Only if you promise to not do something stupid.

I promise, I wanna try testing to see if a couple of my theories about the stuff that I'd been injected with are true. It was reasonable enough, so I gave him control back.

{Dagger's POV (First person):}

I had actually calmed down a bit, I was still angry, sure, but I was at a point I could control it. I knew how Shadow Walker powers worked, so I wanted to see if I could actually use any of them. I headed back outside, finding a nice shaded area.

I stepped into one of the smaller shadows, focusing my mind on it, and much like I thought would happen, I could feel myself almost become one with the shadow. Oh hell yeah, this is gonna be fucking awesome to be able to use.

Some time passed. A couple days. I kept practicing with my new abilities, getting the hang of this new fighting style. In all honesty, it was getting my anger out and that's why I kept doing it.

Lucifer did bring us some info, we were correct on who had taken Moon. How he figured that out, we didn't actually know, but we were grateful for it. He also found out she had been taken to a lab, similar to the one I had been in.

Now all we had to do was get a plan of getting in there.

Which was so much harder than it should've been.

I had eventually had the idea of me sneaking in, using the shadows specifically. I'd be able to get in without being seen, and then I could get the other two in without any alarms being set off.

It was really the only plan we had, as we didn't really want to risk all of us getting caught and then being put in the lab ourselves.
