I had just been sitting on the couch, just trying to fully calm down as I was still a bit shaken up from earlier. I noticed Moon set a notebook down near me, and I guessed that it had been her way of telling me I should look at it without making things awkward.
'Note of vessel experiment #2008' was what I read on the cover. The hell? I opened it up and just started reading through the pages, having nothing better to do.
On the first page, it stated 'Notes by Jane Turner." I assumed that was probably a pretty important detail, and made sure to remember the name. Then, I read through the following entries.
-Can you change or control a vessel?-
'Day 1, I had been assigned one of these vessels to take care of, they seemed to be maybe a year old, at least the same age as my daughter. The uppers asked me to try and find out if vessels can chose to merge or if it's by fate. How do I plan to do this? Well we learned by uppers that a vessels merge is linked by many variables whether it's emotions or a shared experience with whatever the vessel merged with, it's always some form of connection. What if you don't give a vessel any connection? No emotional connection to anyone or anything, just completely ignore it and it's needs. That's how I plan to find our answer.'
-Vessel age 2-
'I've decided to give the vessel the name 'Layla' with no specific reason for this name just thought of it so if someone asks i can say it's 'their' name.'
-Vessel age 3-
'Some of my co-workers decided to visit without telling me earlier so when grace asked who they were I made up the lie that they were their 'family' who were too busy with work to stay which was why 'they' were staying with us, the said they aka the vessel overheard though I'll have to keep that in mind for the future.'
-Vessel age 4-
'I decided to get them into school to make it seem non suspicious, from graces word they were still as silent as they are at home how perfect I'll make sure that stays a permanent thing.'
-Vessel age 5-
'Today the thing asked for a drink but I ignored it, my daughter had asked for a drink to which I said I would happily get her it, my daughter then looked to the thing and asked why she never heard it speak but it stayed silent. Good if I reinforce the idea they constantly need to be silent then it'll keep them from forming connections to others keeping everything in check.'
-Vessel age 6-
'The thing had tripped hurt their leg on a large rock causing it to bleed, I decided to not help it to see what would happen, the thing had hopped on its good leg that wasn't hurt inside and knew exactly where to find the first aid and knew how to take care of the injury. Apparently vessels can learn and be able to copy things by watching whether it be maybe a hobby or an action it's how the thing knew to treat its injuries without me telling it and how it learned to make food for itself, must keep in mind and tell others.'
-Vessel age 8-
'Last night the thing had gone on to the roof from their room with a sketchbook, apparently we now know vessels can form hobbies and habits without the guidance of anyone else, must try to keep this little hobby of theirs under control.'
-Vessel age 12-
'Last night I didn't let the thing inside like normal instead I left it out in the cold, hopefully this will keep it from continuing its hobby and make sure it has nothing to connect to.'
-Vessel age 15-
'Today me and my daughter left for a small trip to family, I didn't bring them since no one else in the family needs to know of their existence, Their obedient I made sure of it for all these years I'm sure everything will be fine.'
