Revenge

I did it. I had got to safety. I found an old warehouse near the edge of the woods, right by where the roads were starting to begin. I found some bandages, and patched up all the wounds I had gotten. I felt my body glitch again. Is it ever going to not do that? I asked, getting fed up with the glitching that had been happening for months now. Probably not. With being merged with me, your body is probably forgetting itself. Like, more than a normal vessels would.

Right, because of the shapeshifting. God what do I even look like right now? I found an old and dusty mirror, and wiped it off a bit, being careful in case it was broken. I didn't even recognize myself. Everything about me was different, even more so now with the bandages all over.

As I watched my body glitch some more, I watched as my appearance change as it did. It was just quick flashes of changes, ranging from different people I had met. I knew how to control it to do it on command, but every now and then it did it on it's own at random. Ugh, this is the worst. How are we even supposed to find the kid that did this? He probably teleported away, possibly to a whole other universe.

Dunno kid, but I'm sure with enough universe hopping we can find him. I sighed and walked away from the mirror. I hope you're right.

{Lucifer's POV (First person):}

I heard Tavnora call us over, pointing to outside of the window. I saw Moon and her friend Hiyori coming from what I could barely tell was the lab in this universe. Which looked to be currently on fire.

Looking over there, I felt myself getting a bit of a headache. Actually, more than just a bit of a headache, this was a full on migraine. This was what usually happened whenever I was in an area close to somewhere with a bunch of souls needing reaped. "God fucking damnit.."

I noticed another girl walking out from the fire, I recognized her only from the monster she was merged with. Reaper had told me enough stories about him for me to recognize him anywhere. "I need to deal with this. I suggest staying here, but I'm not gonna stop you if you follow." I summoned my scythe, then teleported to the inside of the lab.

There was flames all around, but of course none of it really affected me. I walked around, reaping the souls I needed to. I knew seeing this many bodies in such a messed up state should concern me, but I was just so used to seeing bodies at this point I stopped having reactions to them. It's his doing, isn't it.

Yup. Whoever he managed to merge with technically. But he shouldn't have even been able to merge. We got rid of him centuries ago. Long before this merging thing even had to exist. I sighed, and just continued to deal with this mess. There were so many dead bodies, I was surprised this was even done by just one person. You said he could kill gods, right? Are we even safe if we come face to face with his new host?

I didn't hear a response right away, as if Reaper wasn't actually sure. We should be. If he's gotten stronger, maybe not. But I'm a hella powerful god, more so than most. Due to y'know, being death himself. I mean, obviously I can die in some way, if this is even considered death. But I'm not sure if you can still die. You're merged with me, yes, but I'm not sure how immortal you really are.

Well clearly pretty fucking immortal if I'm the only damn survivor of my au other than my brothers, who are only alive because they were saved. I nearly died multiple times yet I just hadn't. I'm probably not very mortal anymore. As I continued reaping souls, thinking over Reaper's words, I heard footsteps behind me. Instinctively I spun around and aimed my scythe at whoever it was. I had been inches away from my scythe slicing the persons neck.

"Well hello there. You must be Reaper's host. I'm quite impressed, you seem quite agile." It was Bill's new host, Eris. "And you're Bill's. Wondered when I'd run into you. You made quite the mess for me to deal with." I did not want to deal with this right now, especially considering I still had a fucking migraine. I was not in very good shape for a fight. I knew I could handle it, but it would not be a pleasant experience. God I hope Tavnora didn't follow me. This is not something she needed dragged into right now.
