I just kept crying and shaking, knowing nothing I did would help. I've never once been able to calm my panic attacks on my own. I always needed my brother to calm me down. And after he was gone.. I just had to let them pass on their own. I eventually stopped shaking enough that I could stand up and start heading back. By now I knew I had been gone much longer than I was planning to. It had to have been close to 5 or 6 hours, considering how dark it had gotten. Wonder if Moon's gotten worried..
I teleported back to the woods of Moon's universe, considering I didn't have the energy to teleport any further. I could barely move and felt like my legs were gonna give out at any moment. Along with that, I was still sort of crying, just not as much now. I slowly made my way back to the castle, which was unfortunately still far away if by only walking. I knew it would take me close to 30 minutes to even get back because I was not only only able to walk back, but I could only walk incredibly slow.
After like 15 minutes of walking, it felt like my body was about to completely give up. I felt numb to my surroundings. Everything hurt. I was struggling to keep my eyes open, and after a moment, I felt my body finally give out, and I fell to the ground with a thud. I felt something cold and wet trickle down my forehead. I didn't bother to figure out what it was, and just assumed I hit my head on a rock or something and that it was just blood.
I tried to get up, but my arms just felt too weak, and soon enough, my vision started slowly fading away as my eyes forced themselves shut.
{???'s POV? (3rd person)}
"Mama, why is dad always yelling at you?" The little girl asked as her mother was helping her get reading for bed. "Your father isn't a very good man honey. Promise me that neither you or your brother will ever end up being like him."
"I promise mama. But.. if he a bad man, why is you with him..?" The mother sighed. "He.. wasn't a bad man when we met and got together.. But, over the years he started getting into some bad habits that have made him like this. Sometimes people change.. and it's hard to let them go when it happens.."
The little girl thought about what her mother said for a moment. "Mama, do you think dad will ever get so bad that he tries to hurt you..?" The mother gave the girl a sad look and nodded. "He unfortunately might.. but don't worry darling, if that does happen I doubt it will be for a while now."
"Well mama, if he does, I promise I'll be the one to protect you from him." The girl said with a bright smile. Her mother chuckled and kissed her forehead. "Thank you honey. Now get to bed, alright. We've got a big day tomorrow."
...
"What the hell dad!! Are you fucking insane!?" The young boy yelled at his dad, who was holding a broken beer bottle. The boys mother stood behind him, a bit of blood dripping down her face. Her other son was helping clean off the blood.
"You stay out of this you brat! This was between me and your mother! You two shouldn't have gotten involved!" His dad shouted back at him. "I don't care if this was between you two, she's still my mother! Obviously I'm gonna protect her!"
"You can't do shit you fucking brat! You're just some dumb vessel! You're not even human!" The boy went over and slapped his father. "I don't care! You don't get to just talk to me like that just because you're my father. I may not be human but that doesn't mean I can't still fight back!"
...
His mother had left the room before it had happened. However, his brother was there to comfort him. "Oh fuck no no no why did I do this.." He kept muttering to himself. He was hugging his older brother tightly as his brother was attempting to calm him down. "Hey, it's okay.. It was an accident you didn't mean to.."
"I still fucking killed him though!" His eyes were filled with tears. All he had wanted to do was fight back after his father tried attacking him. He never meant to go as far as to kill him though. But, now his father's blood was on his hands and he was the fault of his death. "I fucked up Altair.. I fucked up.."

{Dagger's POV (3rd person)}
The woods was practically silent. Only the sounds were of the leaves rustling in the wind and the occasional bird could be heard. Dagger lay motionless on the ground, blood continuously dripping from a gash on his head. He had hit quite a large rock when he fell, and the wound it caused was pretty bad.
His breathing was so slow it'd be hard to tell at first glance if he was alive or not. He was, but was barely holding onto life.
{Yes, this chapter was pretty much only angst, my bad. I wanted to get some of Daggers more depressing lore in and felt like adding onto the angst from the previous chapter. Reminder, Moon (who wasn't even technically in this chapter was only really mentioned) belongs to @FanFicLover6982}
