Numb

Miles and I had gone back to our universe after I had woken up a bit more, however he had to get back home so I was stuck figuring out this stuff on my own. I was honestly scared, for the first time in years, I was feeling genuine fear. I didn't know who that dude from earlier was, yet I knew he recognized me. And he did not like me. I wasn't thrilled about having to find him on my own. Sure, I am certainly strong enough to handle myself, but there was just something that struck so much fear into my brain that I was worried I wouldn't be able to handle him on my own.

I tried to shake the thought away and tried to keep remembering that I wasn't fully alone. I had Killer and Horror. As little help as I assumed they'd probably be, it was still better than no one.

I walked around and tried to think of where I could find this guy. I figured he probably wouldn't have been at the café still, so I guessed my best bet would be to just walk around and hope to spot him. I was walking for what felt like hours. I was getting tired and wanted to just go home. But I was too determined to figure out why I recognized the guy from the café earlier.

Out of nowhere, I felt myself being pulled into a random alley that I passed. I tired pushing away but whoever had grabbed me had a hella strong grip. "Oi, let me go you bastard-!" I tried shouting, but my mouth was soon covered and the man who grabbed me bashed my head into the wall behind me, and everything went black.

{???'s POV (1st person):}

I couldn't believe I had found the vessel just like that. It had been looking for me, I just know it. There's no other reason a creature like it would be just roaming the streets this late. I had managed to knock it out, which I admit was really difficult, as the damn thing was pretty strong against my grip.

I picked the now unconscious vessel up and was surprised by how light it had been. For how strong it was, I was expecting it to be a bit heavier, but oh well, made it easier for me. I brought it over to my car, and laid it in the backseat so I could bring it back to the lab. It was finally time to rid the world of this thing.

{Dagger's POV (1st person):}

I couldn't remember how long I had been out, but when I woke back up I was in a nearly empty white room. There was what I assumed was supposed to be a bed, but was just an old mattress and a couple thin blankets. I tried standing up, and as soon as I did, I noticed the fact that my wrists had been chained. The chains connected to the floor where I had been laying. Ok so what the fuck is the bed for if I can't even move from here-? Wait where the fuck even am I???  I tried pulling at the chains but stopped after a bit because it was hurting too much.

"Fucking damnit.." I muttered to myself while trying to find a position that was actually comfortable. Then I saw him. The same fucking dude from earlier. "You. Where the fuck am I?" I said, my tone harsh. He just looked at me with a slight smile. God this dude was too fucking smug. "You're in a lab. I don't know why you're so surprised. I know you know who I am and why you're here."

That's when it hit me on who this fucking guy was. "You bastard!" I tried moving closer to him, but had completely forgotten about the chains in my anger. "Ah, there it is. I wondered when you'd remember. You're finally back where you belong." I was beyond mad at this guy. He had taken my brother from me so many years ago, and now here I was in the same position. I wanted so badly to attack him, to do anything, but I couldn't while my hands were chained. "You're a sick man. I hope you rot in hell for this." I spat out, shooting a glare at him.

Suddenly there was a painful shock moving throughout my body and I fell to the ground in pain. I looked up and noticed the man holding a remote and giving me a smug look. "You're gonna have to learn to hold you're tongue kid, or else I think things might not end so well for you." He turned off the remote and walked away, and I took this time to just process everything about my situation.

After the pain from the shock subdued, that's when I felt something tight around my neck. I realized I must've had some kind of shock collar put on me and that's what that had been. The shock had left me physically tired out and weakened, and I just laid on the floor, just zoning out.

...

What felt like months had passed, but it was really only just a couple of days. My body felt too weak to do anything. Killer and Horror kept trying to talk to me and see if I was okay, but I just ignored them. I couldn't get up. I couldn't do anything. I felt numb to life. The man hadn't done anything to me yet besides occasionally shock me for what I could only presume was for fun. I just prayed someone would notice me being gone and would try and find me.

I really wanted to give up, I did, but something kept me from that point. Something in the back of mind was keeping me stable enough to not fully give up. Sure, I felt numb to emotions and pretty much everything, but I still waited and hoped that someone would save me from this.

{Wow, gone for weeks and suddenly there's angst. But on a serious note, sorry it's been so long since the last update, I had been sick for like a week and then was dealing with a lot of christmas stuff and just needed some time to relax and get back my ideas for this lol. Reminder this au belongs to my friend @FanFicLover6982 and you should totally check out their book as well.}
