BRAIDED CHICKEN BREAD.

Ingredients:-

Prepare chicken filling.

Cooking oil - 3-4 tbs.

Garlic chopped - 1 tbs.

Onion chopped - 1 cup.

Chicken qeema- 500g.

Cumin seeds roasted and crushed - 1 tsp.

Black pepper powder - 1 tsp.

Salt- 1 tsp or to taste.

Red chilli crushed - 2 tsp.

Mixed herbs - 1 tsp.

Chicken powder - 1/2 tbsp.

Maida All purpose flour - 2 tbsp.

Soy sauce - 1 tbsp.

Tomato ketchup - 2 tbsp.

Milk- 1/2 cup.

Cheddar cheese grated- 1/2 cup.

Fresh coriander - chopped handful.

Prepare dough:-

Warm water- 3/4 cup.

Caster sugar - 1 tbs.

Instant yeast - 3 tsp.

Cooking oil - 1 tsp.

Egg - 1.

Maida All purpose flour- sifted 3 cup.

Salt - 1/2 tsp.

Cooking oil - 1 tsp.

Mozzarella cheese grated.

Egg whisked.

Red chilli crushed.

Sesame seeds.

Butter melted.

Method:-

Prepare chicken filling:-

In a wok, add cooking oil, garlic & mix well....

Add onion, mix well & saute until onions are translucent....

Add chicken & mix well until its changes colour....

Add cumin seeds, black pepper, salt, red chilli crushed, mix herbs, mix well & cook for 2-3 minutes....

Add chicken powder & mix well....

Add all purpose flour, mix well & cook for 2 - 3 minutes....

Add soy sauce, tomato ketchup & mix well....

Add milk, mix well & cook until dries up (3 -4 minutes)....

Add cheddar cheese , fresh coriander & mix well until cheese melts....

Let it cool....

Prepare dough:-

In a bowl add warm water, caster sugar, instant yeast, mix well & let it proof for 5 minutes....

Add cooking oil, egg & mix well....

Gradually add All purpose flour, salt & mix well with the help of wooden spoon....

Add remaining flour & mix until
Well combined....

Sprinkle dry flour & knead until dough is formed ( 3-4 minutes)....

Add cooking oil & knead dough again.....

Grease with cooking oil,cover, & let it proof for 1 hour warm place....

Sprinkle dry flour & kneed dough again until smooth.....

Divide the dough into two equal parts, take one portion, make a ball, sprinkle dry flour & roll out with help of rolling pin.....

Make slits, cut with the help of knife on both of the longer side....

Add chicken filling & mozzarella cheese....

Start bringing the topmost slits end across from eachother alternately.....

Keep going, remember to alternate, left to right and right to left.....

Place the braided bread on a baking tray & dust with dry flour.....

With the help of the brush, apply egg on braided bread , sprinkle red chilli crushed, & sesame seeds....

( Make 2 large or 3 medium bread)....

1- baking:-

Bake in preheated oven at 180° C for 20 minutes.....

After baking apply melted butter , cover with kitchen cloth & let it rest for 10 minutes.....

2- Air fry:-

Air fry in preheated air fryer at 170°C for 10 - 12 minutes....

3- pot baking:-

In a pot , place steam stand/ wire rack , cover & preheat on medium flame for 10 minutes....

Place braided bread & bake in pot on medium flame for 18 minutes....

After pot baking, apply melted butter, cover with kitchen cloth & let it rest for 10 minutes.....
