It was just him and me--- standing with the backdrop of sleeping Ireland floating below us and the awake constellation shimmering above us.
The way his lips brushed against mine like a paint brush on a canvas...
It took me on a ride or die.
Right from day one....the day I met him..
"Ouch!!" I rubbed my head, my chest pumping as i spun around, resting my head on the table.
The man stood towering above me, his face casting darkness behind the pale yellow light bulb.
It took me a few seconds to adjust to the harsh angles of his face, like glass shards being carved out. I couldn't see his eyes, but his blunt cheekbones and robust, square jaw occupying a subtle space of his lower half. My hands dropped down from the table.
I didn't need to see his eyes. This man has to be the leader handling this empire in the absence of Donnors.
I didn't know back then who this man was.
I still don't know who he is.
And somehow...i don't know why..but it doesn't matter..
I think i already know him by now.
A smile broke out my face in between, and he pressed his lips harder, burying his hands around my waist.
We remained intact and one, drifting off with our very own constellation adorning the night sky.
How is this possible? How did we...? How did i find a man in a terrorist? When did this happen?
Oh gosh...i am I so deep in trouble...so deep...
He broke our cosmos session, planting two quick kisses on my cheek like rose petals falling on one, quiet river current.
The air turned heavy, melting with his lemon and vanilla scent into a sweet pill.
"Now since that is out of the picture.." He says, looking me in the eye,
"Huh?" I said, a bit skeptical.
"Can we go back to talking about how i was right when we were in the closet of that penthouse in the beach?"
"Huh!?" I blurted, my mind going in a flashback.
"I am sure. I just want you to admit it. Actually, you have been giving me some signs as well. Reading an old newspaper in the living room? Increasing the air conditioner temperature? No normal person would do that without any evil intention in mind!"
His voice fired back, getting up to my volume but as cool as menthol mouthwash.
"You are assuming those things. And you are the one pretending you have not checked me out."
I blinked at him monitoring the door, stepping closer.
"What!?"
He nodded, pounding on the door.
"In my hideout library when i was helping you with the books. Also when i was passing by you for the shooting practise down the staircase. Even now when I was trying to check your lips."
Oh shit! He is talking about that agreement we had in the closet...
"Ahh...Don...why bring that up..now?"
I tilted my head, laughing as i scratched my head.
He didn't smile.
"Why not? You have this one chance to admit you were afraid talking about how attracted you were to me."
