I couldn't believe what I had been hearing.

It felt like my heart had fallen into a pit hole. My whole body shrivelled under the weight those three words carried.

Just you two.

From the corner of my eyes, I could sense Donnor's agitation. His jaws weren't as relaxed, neither were his shoulders.

Anyone else wouldn't notice it. But I have had far too many adventures with him to conclude that this chorus was starting to get on his nerves.

And I didn't blame him for that.

Smith was to blame.

"Are you insane!? Me and him...I mean...why a holiday? That is not needed...you are misunderstanding--"

And he cut me off in a halt.

"I ain't wanna hear no words anymore. It's all settled and sorted. I don't want any risk. This is a do-or-die sitcom. You better act like it, Mrs Callie...and..."

"Sitcom!?" I muttered under my breath.

Donnor cleared his throat.

"Don. My name is Don."

I looked up at him, the rest of his ice-cold eyes drilling-- you better remember it next time.

From the look on Smith's face, you could tell that he got the hint, because he bit his lip, nodding like his house caught fire.

I posed a smile, holding Smith's broad shoulders with a dust of hope.

"Smith, we understand what you mean...but we assure you we will behave. You won't get any complaints."

I glanced at Donnor, signalling him to help me here.

Seconds passed. He didn't. Smith passed me a smile, jumping in with the opportunity.

"Look! He doesn't even understand your body language! You two are not compatible for this task yet."

I rolled my eyes.

Smith spun around, circling us like a knife on our head.

"Don't think too much into it. I have something simple planned. You will get to know once you get there. For now---"

Bam! Bam!

I jumped, everything halting to a standstill. People ran screaming for their lives like a nightmare screening my eyes.

I blinked around. Donnor grabbed my arm, pointing at the airplane we were supposed to get inside.

It had caught fire.

I stood in a state of shock, not able to believe what had happened. Smith covered his eyes, babbling like a child.

"Help me! Help!"

Security came rushing in at every corner, followed by armed policemen. Donnor held us both, leading us out of the airport.

The crowd grew thicker, and the screams turned into a horror picture. My palms grew sweaty, and the bustling warmth Donnor's hold carried wasn't enough to calm my nerves.

We made it past the gates, running for our lives.

Donnor was quick, cutting through the crowd. People stepped away as soon as he crossed them, all on their own.

Sirens wailed in the distance, declaring the Japanese police's arrival. We made it out of the main gates, gasping.

Smith held me closer to him, trembling. I rubbed his back.
