I scraped my shoes against the gravel below, quiet chatters surrounded me, my eyes covered by sunglasses. Bill stood with the rest of his band, his eyes still on me. His fingers tapped on his waist, his belt shining under the low sun causing light spots on the ground. What Felix said earlier is still playing on my mind, I can't seem to get rid of it. The only thing that worries me is that I know if bill was to try again I'd fold, instantly. I kind of hoped he was different from my ex's but considering how he's acting he doesn't seem to be.
My thoughts got interrupted by a small blue bus pulling into the bay, the wheels leaving marks behind. The only person on the bus being an old lady, reading a newspaper as the bus driver opened the doors. I began heading towards it, almost being last in the long line. I could hear Sophia flirting with Tom ahead of me, her hand planted on his shoulder. I lost sight of bill awhile ago, unsure of where he was now.
The air conditioning hit my boiling skin, the sensation feeling great as I walked on. This bus was wider than ones I've seen before, meaning we could bring our suitcases on. I guess Spain has a lot of tourists so they had to find a way for people to get around. Suddenly I felt someone's hand wrap around my arm, pulling me down. I landed straight onto bill's lap, his grip leaving my arm towards my legs.
"I don't think so." I frowned, moving backwards onto the free seat.
I had no choice but to sit next to him now as the bus was completely full, not even one free seat.
"Nice of you to join me" bill hummed.
"I didn't have a choice." I scowled, throwing my hand luggage down.
"Don't act like you didn't want to sit next to me" he mocked.
"Shut up" I sighed, laying my head back.
The bus had started to drive at this point, the constant noise of shoes squeaking. I could feel bill's eyes burning into the side of my head, his nails scratching against the seating between us. I think the most alluring thing about him is his style, that's what dragged me in to his trap. The first time I ever saw him I knew he was what I wanted, My room was full of his posters, no room for anything else. I went to all of his concerts but he never noticed me once, kinda sad when I think about it now.
——
I slightly turned my head, noticing the massive white and gold hotel outside. The entrance laid with marble stairs, glass moving doors in front, gold pillars holding the overhang. A small water fountain lay in the centre, a few car spaces on opposite sides. The bus came to a stop outside the front, allowing us to exit. My legs stuck to the chair underneath, my skin red as I yanked it off. I dragged my things out of the packed bus, plopping them onto the ground before Beth ran up to me."Omg. Look at this place!" She yelled, her mouth gaping open.
"It's definitely fancy" I snickered.
"I'm so glad we came" she pouted, reaching for my hand.
"No need to get sloppy, it's just a hotel" I laughed.
"I'm just really exited" she winked.
"Yeah I can tell" I huffed, using my hand to fan my face.
"Okay everybody, the rooms have been randomly assigned so please follow me towards the front desk. We'll settle in first then have a look around." Tanya shouted, a wide smile on her face.
"Where's Paul?" I asked, catching up with her.
"Oh he's getting a flight down here tomorrow, he had some things to sort out" she replied.
I nodded, walking through the open glass doors into the entrance. On the left was an entertainment room and a help desk, a couple of booths laid out. On the right was a workers room and the front desk, which I'm guessing is where we get our keys from. The smell of lilies flew throughout the big hotel, flip flops slapping onto the marble.
"Here's your key" Tanya smiled, passing me a gold key card.
"Who am I sharing with?" I asked.
"I'm not sure, I didn't ask" she shrugged.
I let out a small sigh, reading the numbers on the tiny card. '140' it wrote, meaning I'd be on the second floor. I was one of the first to get my cards so I'll have a head start, plus I desperately need a shower. I practically skipped over to the elevators, my eyes gazing over at the glass spiral stairs leading downstairs. From what I can see on the buttons there are six different levels, another one below.
I patiently waited as the elevator went upwards, due to the confusing layout my room was actually on the third floor. A dinging sound went off as I arrived at the floor, a grey and white carpet coming into my view. I made my way out of the elevator, looking at the signs above to guide me.
Finally I found my room, the air conditioning already being on as I stepped inside. On my left was a fully marble bathroom, a wardrobe on my right. One big four poster bed in the middle with two small tables on each side, a vanity lay in front with a hairdryer and menu. The balcony is pretty nicely sized with two chairs, a fruit basket on the table.
I slid my suitcase next to the wall, throwing myself onto the freshly made bed. The soft sheets brushed again my hot skin, my shoes hanging off already. Maybe this holiday won't be so bad, I'm actually exited for once.
The sound of footsteps came towards the door, a keycard sliding into the holder. My eyes moved over to the door seeing..
