-11:30am-
My brows furrowed slightly, feeling a cold hand slither up my leg. I let out a sigh, rubbing my coated eyes before letting out a low scream. I kicked away the toy skeleton, frowning at Sophia, her laughs echoing.

"Come on! Get up." She nudged, shaking me.

"It's still early" I yawned.

"I know but we need to get our nails done" she hummed, poking my arm.

I chuckled at her sloppy expression, sitting up in my messy bed. The clouds outside forming, tiny raindrops bouncing off of carved pumpkins. I fluttered my eyelashes as I hopped up, stretching out my cramped arms.

"Jordan and Harris left already, they'll pick us up at nine" she smiled, hugging my waist.

"Oh alright" I huffed, pushing my lips up.

She fell backwards onto my bed whilst I dug out an outfit, my hands trailing across the stuffy closet. I settled on a black checkered mini skirt, paring it with a long sleeve shirt and some leg warmers. The sound of my television blared through my ears, toothpaste smeared on my finger tips. I need to be wary tonight, just in case. I know Beth was more than likely lying but I'm still baffled on why bill was messaging Harris. Although I never asked him, I didn't want to hear his excuse. If I stay by Sophia I should be fine, plus it's a house party which is more safer than a club. I've never been a huge fan of Halloween but I'll give it a go, unfortunately I have a huge fear of clowns though.

I snickered at that thought, swirling mouth wash in my mouth, the minty flavour freshening me up. I pulled at my skin, not bothering to cake makeup on until later tonight. I quickly applied a thin layer of gloss, pouting in the wet mirror. Sophia hung by the door, watching me as I put some of my hair up.

"I hope nothing goes wrong tonight" she sighed, tapping her chipped nails against the door.

"It won't" I assured, shooting a soft smile at her.

I stumbled back into my room, pushing on some fluffy boots before grabbing a coat. Sophia's footsteps soon disappeared as she reached the bottom floor, my hands barely gripping my handbag. I trotted downstairs, meeting her by the front door. She waved her keys around, a large grin plastered on her blushed face. I followed behind her, jumping into the passenger seat as she turned on the radio.

"So what happened that day?" Sophia asked, scanning my body.

"Nothing really apart from the fact that he forced me to get a tattoo" I growled.

"I never realised he was like that, he seemed so sweet" she tutted, shaking her head.

My eyes fell low, leaning my head against the cold glass, grit hitting the car as Sophia drove.

A small bell rang as I entered the nail bar, a woman smiling softly as we walked towards her.

"Hey girls, is it just you two?" She asked, tilting her head.

"Yeah, sorry about the short notice" I chuckled.

"No worries, we aren't busy today anyway" she shrugged, biting on a pen.

She led us to our chairs, my legs sticking to the white leather below. I plopped my hands onto the counter, tapping my feet on the marble flooring. The quiet music played above, the kind woman beginning on my bitten nails.

"What are you getting done?" I questioned, looking over at a happy Sophia.

"Cobwebs" she insisted, squinting her eyes.

I nodded slowly, peering down at the colour selection. The small bell rang again, my free hand running over the vibrant blue shade. A cold breeze ran over my shoulders, sending shivers up my spine, a strong cologne following. I turned my head as a person sat next to me, my lips dropping. Bill waved his long fingers at me, leaning against the counter.

"Nice to see you Soph" he whispered, keeping his eyes on me.

"Ignore him" I groaned, clenching my jaw.

"Tom?." Sophia gasped.

I quickly turned myself around, seeing Tom next to Sophia, her eyes darting around the room. He stood up against the vanity, his arms crossed.

"What are you doing here?" I scowled, gritting my teeth.

"I wanted to see you" bill spoke, his voice softly entering my sore ears.

"Yeah well you can leave now." I hummed.

"Don't be like that my love, I've missed your beautiful face" he pouted, tapping my knee.

"Where are you going!?" I hitched, gazing at Sophia.

"Just for a cigarette, she needs to practice the design anyway" she laughed.

I shook my head, watching her wonder off with Tom, his arm wrapping around her waist. I slouched back in my chair, my back in agony against the metal. A light coat of paint crossed my nails, my hands shaking gently.

"Got anything planned for tonight?" Bill asked, leaning back.

"Non of your business." I scoffed, my lips curled down.

"I bought you something" he grinned, pulling out a small box.

I furrowed my brows, his dark eyes glossing over my features effortlessly. He slowly unwrapped the red bow, revealing a pair of diamond earrings. The light hit off of them, shooting through my eyes.

"I think they'll look lovely on you" he smiled, pushing them up to my ear.

I nudged him away with my elbow, sliding my chair over to the right.

"Take it as a peace offering" he sighed, pushing his lip out.

"Leave me alone." I muttered.

He let out a soft groan, pushing the box into my bag before getting up. He planted his cold hands onto my shoulders, pecking my warm cheek. I bit at my lip, his touch leaving mine as he headed outside. Sophia rushed in after him, her face flustered.

"Look at this!" She gasped, showing me her hand.

I glanced down at the shiny bracelet, wrapped upon her wrist, her eyes wide.

"Seriously." I mumbled, moving my eyes from hers.

She hummed lowly, plopping back down in her seat, her legs shaky under the table..
