The morning sunrise woke me up, the light rays reflecting onto my tanned face, bill's head burrowed into my neck. His slow breathing comforted me, his eyes twitching as the sun reached him, his hands beginning to move. My peaceful heartbeat in sync with his, my thumb trailing over his defined cheek, my feet dangling from the warm bed. I gently lifted him up, laying him down again before getting out of bed, my messy hair falling down my shoulders. The buzzing noise from his phone alerted me, the sound causing the side table to shake, him starting to stir. I quickly ran to his side of the bed, picking up his phone, an unexpected name showing up on his phone.
"Freya?" I whispered, my brows crossed.
I declined the call, seeing her multiple messages pop up, clicking on the most recent one before scrolling up.

My brows scrunched up, what secret?? Why does bill even have her number and why are they seeing each other in private? I jumped slightly as bill turned towards me, his eyes half open.
"What are you doing?" He yawned, stretching out his arms.
"Checking the time, my phone is dead" I smiled, my jaw tense.
He nodded before rubbing his eyes, a low groan leaving his lips. I threw his phone down, heading to the wardrobe ahead, digging around for a bikini. I've never seen Freya and bill talk before, at least not in front of me. This would explain why she didn't defend me. I won't jump to conclusions until I know more but this seems weird, especially for Freya. She's not the type of girl to go behind someone's back, never mind lie to my face. Or so I thought.
I slammed the bathroom door shut, multiple emotions running through my brain, my chest tight. The scrunched up bikini lay in my clammy hands, the strings hitting against my legs. I ripped off the shirt from last night, removing bill's lying hands off of me, discarding the clothes onto the marble floor before pulling up the bikini bottoms. My eyes perched up when I heard bill's quiet whispers, his footsteps going back and forth as he paced outside. I quickly shoved the bikini top on, sliding the bathroom door open slightly, enough to hear the conversation.
"I can't talk right now" he whispered, his foot tapping onto the floor.
"Just be patient, meet me here at five" he frowned.
His eyes searched around the room, my body moving backwards to avoid being detected. Looks like I've got somewhere to be at five now, then I'll know what's going on.

I ran my fingers through my hair, carefully watching bill and Freya, them not even meeting eyes. My body sticking to the sun bed, my cold drink dripping onto my body."What's up?" Beth asked, leaning over to me.
"Nothing" I sighed.
"yeah right, did something happen?" She questioned, biting her nails.
"I don't know yet" I shrugged.
"Tell me" she demanded, lifting up her sunglasses
"Not here" I hummed, sitting up.
I motioned over to the empty bar, her head nodding slightly, my feet falling onto the burning concrete ground. I followed behind her, a splash of water trickling onto me, my face scrunched up. The immediate smell of chlorine hit me, my body slashing through the pool.
"So?" She pouted, hooking onto my wet arm.
"I think there's something going on between bill and Freya" I frowned.
"What?!" She gasped, splashing herself.
"Be quiet!" I shushed, hopping onto a stool.
"Sorry. Carry on" she murmured.
"Earlier today bill's phone kept going off, I didn't want to disturb his sleep so I went to turn it off until I saw Freya's name show up, her messages coming after." I tutted, my stomach turning.
Her wide eyes stayed on me, clearly intrigued by the information.
"So I looked through and she was talking about not wanting to be a secret anymore, they've also been meeting up in private" I added.
"No way." She scowled, throwing a look at Freya.
"That's what I thought" I huffed.
"It's probably nothing, if anything they are just friends. Right?" She sighed, shaking her head.
"Well I'll find out at five, I think they're meeting" I responded, biting my lip.
"She better not." Beth scoffed.
My gaze went back to Freya, her body perched up. If there is something going on I won't know what to do, I've always trusted Freya. She's always been there for me, never judged me. I met her first before Beth and Sophia, I've known her for years now. It's never crossed my mind that she would betray me, not like this. All I can do is wait until the time is right, although I'm scared I'll see something I won't want to. There's a pit in my stomach ever since I read those messages, a strange sick feeling following me.
My eyes fell low, a sigh leaving my parted lips, Beth sipping on her fresh drink.
"Don't worry, I've got you" she assured, rubbing my back.
I shot a smile at her before hopping back into the warm water, my feet barely stable. Bill's gaze was now on me, a wide grin on his pale face. I lifted myself up out of the pool, reaching for my towel, patting my body dry.
"Are you alright?" Bill asked, sitting up.
"Yeah why wouldn't I be" I hummed, my voice cracking.
"Good, I've got a surprise for you" he chuckled, reaching under his sun bed.
"Bet you do." I mumbled..
