My face got illuminated by the bright blue lights, a tint of green running throughout them, bill's arm snaked around my waist. The strawberry lip balm on my lips seeping into my mouth, the charms on my two piece set bouncing off my thighs. The loud music boomed through my sore ears, my body feeling the vibrations, the crowd getting larger by the second. The soft sand under my toes, warmth still lingering within it, the ocean waves drowned out by music. Beth hasn't took her eyes off of me, her stare starting to make me uneasy.

"I'll grab us a drink" bill whispered, pecking my cheek slightly.

I nodded, feeling his warm grasp leave my waist, his hair swaying as he pushed through the tough crowd. My eyes moved to Freya, her feet rushing behind bill, a strange feeling running through my body. A little gap between people made it easy for me to see, their bodies pushed up against the open tiki bar. Freya's body swaying, bill's hand brushing against her legs as he reached into his pocket.

"Are you okay?." Beth asked, her hand resting on my shoulder.

"Why wouldn't I be?" I spat, returning my gaze to her.

"I'm sorry if I made you angry, all I wanted was to protect you." She pouted.

"From what? Bill isn't cheating on me. He swore." I muttered, my lips pushed up.

"Actions speak louder than words y/n but if you don't believe me that's fine, I won't let you push me away." She smiled.

I scanned her soppy face, her eyes glazed over, strands of her hair being slapped onto her cheek. I won't let myself believe it but she seems honest, as if she's truly telling the truth which makes me nervous. I don't know what she saw that day, I only know what she told me. Bill insisted that he wouldn't cheat again, I need to trust him this time, if he was playing a game he would've left by now.

I licked at my now dry lips, my eyes searching for a sudden lost bill. Our drinks nowhere to be seen, as for both of them. I left Beth's grasp, pushing through the noisy crowd, my shoulders aching from pushes.

"Hey did you see where that guy went? Black long hair, brown eyes, white button top, with a brown haired girl?" I asked, looking at the confused waiter.

"I think they went that way" he pointed.

"Thank you" I hummed, my voice shaky.

I chewed at my cheek, my heart racing, my body moving slower. I peaked around the corner, the back of the bar being empty, my eyes moving to the backstage. Quiet whispers could be heard, the music becoming distant.

"She believes me anyway" bill whispered, adjusting Freya's bra strap.

"That's because she's stupid." Freya laughed.

"I thought you two were friends" he snickered, pulling her closer to his chest.

"We was but she always wins at everything, it makes me sick. For once I want to win, she gets to lose." She added.

"We should head back before anyone notices" bill tutted, reaching for her chin.

I watched in horror as they locked lips, her hand gripping at his long locks. My heart sinking into my stomach immediately, my knees feeling weak. Their sickening grunts echoing into my ears, my mouth gaped open. I let out a deep breath, my chest tightening as my hand rested on it, my body moving backwards. I frantically ran back through the crowd, not meeting anyone's gaze. I hid myself between a couple, gathering myself before anyone could tell.

She's right, I am stupid. I doubt Georg even knows, both of us were in the dark. Bill hasn't only hurt me but one of his closest friends and for what? His ego? Beth was right this whole time, I don't even want to think about it. I genuinely thought he was being sincere, but I guess I know now. I don't want to lose bill though, that makes me even more idiotic. He's everything I've ever wanted, I can't see myself with anyone but him.

"There you are" bill smiled, passing my cold drink.

My eyes stayed on the ground, the drink shaking in my hands, the moon reflecting onto my red face. Bill dragged me along his side, bringing me back to our group, the comforting feeling now long gone. I pushed the cup up to my lips, taking large gulps, my throat burning as it passed through.

"Slow down" bill laughed.

Even if I wanted to speak I couldn't, my mouth full of cheap alcohol. I want to scream in his face, slap him a few times. Make him feel how I feel right now, ashamed, embarrassed, angry, alone. Everything has been a lie, between me and Freya. There was never a me and bill, only me, as his eyes wondered around mine stayed on him. I only got with Asher to make bill jealous, see if he cared. I still remember that lump in my throat when I saw him standing outside the hotel, the beautiful restaurant. My face hurt so bad from smiling, I've never felt that way before.

"What's wrong?" He asked, nudging me slightly.

"Nothing" I hummed.

"Good, I was starting to worry" he chuckled.

"bet you was." I whispered, the music too loud for him to hear me.

I shot a glance at Beth, her bright gaze meeting mine. Her lips curled up gently, showing me a soft smile, her fingers waving. Gustav being at her side, placing multiple kisses across her flustered face. Tom and Sophia dancing in the crowd ahead, her eyes full of love. Only reminding me that I'll never have that, not with bill. I knew from the beginning it was never going to be a great love story, I wished though. To be like the movies, to fall in love all over again. I just don't understand why he's doing this to me, what did I do to deserve this?

"Come dance with us" Freya grinned, hugging onto Georg..
