The following day, Som received a message from Payu, saying that he wished to meet him in the afternoon. Som didn't need to meet his ex-boyfriend to know his response, he knew him way more than what Payu thought, but he replied that he was happy that Payu managed to take a decision so fast. Payu gave him the address of the café where he wanted to meet him, and when the moment of their meeting approached, Som arrived at the café. A few minutes passed, but nobody arrived.
"Huh? Rain?" Som asked to himself as he saw Rain's name on the screen of his phone as it started ringing. He picked it from the table and answered. His confusion rapidly became preoccupation, Payu was never later after all.
"Hello Rain, what's wrong?" Som asked. Rain looked around before answering that question. He was right out of Payu's room, but the door wasn't completely closed, so he had to whisper if he didn't want Payu to hear his conversation.
"Som, I know I'm asking a lot but... but... do you think you could come to Payu's house? He isn't... it is just... I'm not trying to keep him away from you, but you have to trust me when I tell you that he isn't in the condition to leave the house..."
"Rain, what do you mean that he isn't in the right condition?" Som asked with an even more worried voice.
"Please... just come here, please..." Rain begged him and Som quickly agreed and hung up. Rain went back into Payu's room. As he saw him getting dressed, he quickly rushed to him and put his hands on Payu's shoulders.
"Payu, Som just called to inform that the café you chose is currently closed. Why don't you go back to bed now? Som will arrive here shortly" Rain said trying his best to fake a smile. How hard it was for Rain to smile while looking at Payu. Whenever he looked at Payu he only felt worse and worse: Payu surely wasn't exactly happy while he was with Som, but at least he was fine... on the other hand, after just two days with Rain, Payu was completely devastated.
"Closed? I... checked that... the site said that... it was... open..." Payu said slowly as he walked back to the bed with Rain, who was firmly holding him by his arm. He didn't really believe Rain, but since he said that Som was about to arrive, there was no reason to investigate any further. A few minutes later, Rain heard the sound of a car reaching the courtyard of the house. He stood up from the chair next to the bed and left the room closing the door behind him.
"So, what happened? Why couldn't he come?" Som asked with a mix of preoccupation and anger. Rain quickly wiped away the tears that were flooding his eyes. This only made Som even more worried.
"I told him you called to say that the café was closed. That was the only way to convince him to stay here... I know that we caused you a lot of pain and... and you didn't deserve it... but please, I beg of you... stay calm while you're with him..." Rain responded and slowly opened the door.
Som walked inside and saw Payu on the bed. He was surprised to see Payu like that: he was on his bed, his long hair was untied and some of it stick to his forehead because of the sweat caused by the fever. His skin got quite pale and the sunlight only made the contrast between his almost white skin and his blue veins even starker.
"Hello, Payu"
"Hello, Som..."
