Chapter 59

Ple was about to cry, thinking about the terrible mess her brother was in. She instinctively reached out for Payu's hand, and as soon as she managed to touch it, Payu rapidly moved away and Rain glared at her. She apologized repeatedly and eventually asked Payu if he was going to help Som or not. Payu took a deep breath, he turned to Rain and was disappointed to see his reaction, then he turned back to Ple.

"I... I have to think about it. Why don't you ask Mark? I know they weren't dating or anything, but they still seemed very close" Payu replied, he would have been happy to find someone else who could help Som, so that he wouldn't have felt guilty with neither Som nor Rain.

"I admit that I tried talking to Mark about it, but he ignored all my messages. Some time ago Som told him about that I used the video where he kissed Som to make you two break up... he was so mad at me that I suppose he interpreted my messages as an attempt to get close to him"

Seeing that the conversation was getting nowhere, Ple eventually stood up, she sighed heavily and added as she put a small piece of paper on the table:

"I won't blame you if you don't help him... but in case you decide to do otherwise, this is Stop's address, Som spends most of his time there..." then she left before Payu could say his decision. The couple went to their car and after an awkward silence, Rain started:

"I'm sure that Som is mature enough to deal with Stop on his own. We have no right to interfere with his relationship"

"I owe him a favor..." Payu replied.

"A favor? What are you talking about?" Rain asked irritated, knowing exactly what Payu was referring to.

"You owe nothing to Ple, since she treated you like that... but I owe a favor to Som. I cheated on him..." Payu started, but Rain quickly interrupted him as the conversation was taking a turn he didn't like at all.

"You're right, you cheated on him, but you're totally justified since you thought that he cheated on you first. Stop thinking about that"

"Let me finish... I was disappointed... but a good boyfriend would have talked it out instead of having sex with a random person" Payu finished, then he closed his eyes for a moment, knowing that the last part of his speech was surely going to piss Rain off.

"A random person? A random person! That's what I am to you? A random person? Someone who endured your terrible father and your offensive uncle? Fine, go and save Som, Mr. Perfect Boyfriend. Do as you please. You can move back to your house tonight" Rain replied.

"Rain, you know I didn't mean it like that"

"Oh really? It wouldn't be the first time a person I think to know well enough ends up doing something totally disappointing. Give me a break..."
