Chapter 30

Som looked at the name that appeared on the screen of his phone as it started ringing. It was Ple. She tried to reach her brother several times that day, but Som was still too angry to pick up, however he eventually realized that if he wasn't mad at Payu for cheating on him, maybe he could calm down a little bit just to listen to what his sister wanted to tell him.

"Hello Ple, what do you want?" Som asked with such a calm voice, that for a moment Ple thought that her brother had managed to fix his relationship with Payu in no time. When she paid a little more attention to his tone though, she realized that it wasn't calm because of happiness after a successful mission, but more like calm acceptance of a defeat.

"Som... thank god you arrived safely... have you met Payu yet?" she asked, although she already felt like she knew the answer. Som responded that he met Payu and his parents, but his answer didn't go any further. Ple realized that if her brother sounded like that, it probably meant that the whole visit was a complete disaster, Payu probably didn't believe him and so she was the only one who could confirm her brother's version, would Payu believe it though?

"Listen, Som, I'll arrive there as soon as possible and explain Payu what really happened. He will have to believe me... I'm sure he will..."

"That's not the point, Ple"

"What do you mean?"

"He believed it. I talked to his parents first, Pete quickly realized that I was telling the truth, so he helped me a little when his son arrived. At first Payu didn't even want to listen to me, but after I gave him the video, he immediately realized that it was authentic and that I wasn't a cheater" Som explained.

"Oh... I... I didn't expect that. Well, then why do you sound like that? Everything is ok now, right?" Ple added confused, she was sure that Payu loved Som deeply, so what could possibly impede their relationship after that revelation?

"He cheated on me..."

"What!? I can't believe it. And he told you that so easily?"

"Yes... I mean... I told him I'm not mad at him, I even justify his actions... then I noticed his hesitation and I realized that he needed time to think about that. I offered him to reflect on his next move and I told him that I would be fine no matter his decision..." Som replied.

"Well... well... I... I guess he just meant that he needed time to talk to..." Ple said trying to comfort her brother, but Som quickly stopped her and added:

"It is over, Ple. He cheated on me... with Rain... now, I don't know if he will date Rain or not, but I'm sure that he won't come back. If he really wanted to be with me, why would he buy time? See you soon, Ple, I want to stay alone now..."
