Chapter 38

Arm gulped, he ran his hand through his hair as he felt increasingly nervous, he couldn't predict if the news he was bringing could upset his boss. Working for Tankhun was surely exhausting, especially staying up all those hours in front of a screen and replying to all of Tankhun's comments during a drama, but that was nothing compared to the terror Arm felt whenever he had to face Kim.

Kim wasn't rude nor exactly cruel, the more time he spent as chief of the Theerapanyakul family, the more he acted like his father. However, even if the deceased Khun Korn could be calm most of the time, he was the same person who didn't blink as he shot his own brother dead. Arm raised his eyes and looked at Kim, who was sitting at a small desk near the window that led to the garden.

That was his favorite spot. Korn obviously had a private office, but as soon as Kim became the chief, he decided to move his headquarters to a small living room. At first the bodyguards, especially Arm and Pol, tried to figure out what was so special about that specific room. It was Erika who told them the reason: Porchay liked the garden a lot, and he used to spend most of his time near the fish pond, when he couldn't be with Kim because of work.

Kim knew it, so he preferred to move there, knowing that whenever he raised his eyes from the papers and lists on his desk, he would have seen the love of his life without much effort. It wasn't the same as spending time with him, but it was enough to give him the energy to continue his work.

Arm looked at his boss and noticed that he wasn't looking at Porchay through the window with a subtle smile, so the bodyguard waited until that special moment for Kim was over before coming to him. As soon as Kim looked back at the papers, Arm spoke from the opposite end of the room.

"Khun Kim, I have news for you, sir..." Arm said hesitantly. Kim turned to him, he sighed heavily and took off the elegant glasses that Porchay bought for him as he found out that Kim's eyes were struggling with so many documents. Kim signaled Arm to come closer with a rapid gesture of his hand and waited for him to continue.

"Venice is dating someone"

"Is he back with Som?"

"No, sir, they've broken up"

"Well, continue. I suppose that there must be something else if you are so nervous. You've already made all the necessary research on the subject, am I right? What did you find?" Kim asked. It was obvious that there was something else, Arm wasn't that nervous when he informed him about Payu dating Som.

"We... ummm... we did all the researches as usual. The guy he's dating..."

"Oh, so he's dating another guy, at least it is something we're all familiar with" Kim interrupted, shocking the bodyguard for this light comment. Arm cleared his throat and continued.

"He's dating Rain Kirigun Phawattakun..." Arm then looked down, waiting for Kim to react.

"Kirigun Phawattakun... why do these two family names sound familiar? Are you sure you found the right identity?" Kim's tone changed completely, it was now obvious that he wasn't happy about that.

"Yes, sir... Rain Kirigun Phawattakun... son of Tharn Thara Kirigun and..."

"And Type Thiwat Phawattakun... apparently my dearnephew really knows how to find problematic boyfriends..."
