"They are all waiting for us," nakaligo na siya at suot ang linen white shirt sleeve top and khaki men shorts.

"I woke up late i know," Hinintay niya lang akong matapos sa palalagay ng sunscreen

He sighed, resting against the headboard, no energy left for another argument like he just wanted to have a peaceful breakfast.

I let the silence envelope the two of us this time and didn't know it felt good to be serene like this. Last night was so rowdy and toxic that I realized it could also drain a lot of our energy.

"Move closer so i can put sunscreen on your face."

His hands were on my waist the whole time while I was busy putting sunscreen on his face. 

"If you'll find yourself stuck and involve in a crime..." Deuce suddenly murmured.

"Ghad..." napairap nalang ako kasi ayan na naman siya. 

I watch him raise his eyebrows at me and lick his lips in a boyish manner.

"It's hypothetical, Av." he added. 

"What?" My face twisted in a frown, the words making me cringe.

"A crime..."

"Yeah, that probably involves me and one of your girls," sinapak ko ang kaniyang dibdib.

"Just know i'll be there trying to clean up the blood and hide the bodies," patuloy niya.

My mouth fell open as I silently stared at him, trying to figure out if he was genuine.

"I am just saying that we're a team. No matter what other people will say about you and me... their opinions don't count. As long as we are together and happy then everything is all good."

"I did not expect that kind of assurance, but I appreciated it even though you mentioned bodies, which means there are really a lot of girls involved here."

"You don't have to fight everyone else for me and you. I promise you that i personally prefer us to be honest with each other. If i am no longer happy with this you'll know it first...i will be honest about it and admit it rather than trying to keep living a lie. I would love you to extend that honesty to me, too. If i am no longer making you happy then just say it to me. I wanna hear it from your mouth even though it may hurt me."

"It's fine with you if one day i realize i like the other guy then?" My illogical question caused his forehead to furrow.

He's been fantastic so far at being real and true, so I know he expects honesty and that I shouldn't doubt what he says. If anything, I should be thankful that despite how difficult it is, he still wants to be honest with me about whether or not he will one day find another woman.

"Like what? You woke up and realize you like someone else?" tanong niya.

"Yeah, you will just accept that? I mean you'll respect my word and accept it immediately?"

"What? Did you trip, fall, land on his dick?!" he asked again. Naiinis ko siyang tinulak kasi wagas naman siyang magsalita.

"You're so annoying!"

"What? I need to hear you explain why before making decisions, Av. You need to explain why first,"

"Whatever!" pauso naman tong taong to.

"I am not going to take things lightly...of course you need to make me understand what happened and why you were no longer crazy about me," he smirked.
