Abandoned

I wanted to talk to him so badly, so I waited, but until now he is still not here in the resort.

"Lakshmi estimated that the journey will only take minutes to hours to get here without a private vehicle, but Deuce is still not here yet." Lia says.

Binaba ko ang hawak na baso at tumingin sa mga kaibigan. Nahihiya na pag usapan si Deuce lalo na ako naman ang dahilan ba't nagkaganto.

"He knows how to get here, don't worry." Dinara smiled at me.

Pasimple akong ngumiti sa kaibigan at kumain ulit.

We tried to enjoy our late lunch as normally as possible. Enjoying the view of the shore and the hotel's amenities.

The group is now having a relaxing and slow day talking about life and work, sometimes jokes or technically they're making fun of Nicco.

"Not everybody is going to like you even if you're a good person." Lia said.

"Or the other person is just bad. There's a problem with them and not on you so it's better to not please anyone but yourself," Adita added,

"Not gonna lie there's a lot of rude pax in every flight."

"Rude crew is the worst part in flights," Adita shrugged. "They'll be making issues out of nothing."

"Oh? I've heard that there are a lot of seniors power tripping at work," Brioni interrupted.

"I heard that too."

"Maybe that senior did not like the crew?"

"Maybe,"

"You could be the ripest, juiciest, most delicious peach on Earth, and that won't matter because some people just prefer apples and that's okay." Yoni added while she's busy with her fruit platter.

"Or you can be the sweetest peach on the tree but some people just don't like peaches," Nicco grinned.

"Shut up, Nicco!" Yoni hissed. Nicco laughed boyishly.

"And sometimes bad people will do wrong and there won't be a fair ending where things are cleared up especially if you're the good person. You always gonna step on toes to do the right thing most of the times while bad people just do whatever they please," Lakshmi.

"Hey, don't talk about rude crew because Dinara is the one terrorizing the newbies here," Nathan joked.

"Hey! I'm the nicest mommy ever!" Dinara exclaimed.

"It's hard to make them understand with the explanations most of the times no matter if it's really necessary or life threatening,"

"Shit's hard sometimes at work, man." Nicco said. "Don't make it harder,"

"Hey, are you okay?" Patagong hinawakan ni Yoni ang aking kamay.

"Yeah," I whispered back.

"You're so silent."

"I'm just worried about what he's going to say to me once he's back," tipid akong ngumiti sa kaibigan. "Hmm...what if he won't listen to my explanation? Things like that,"

"Perspectives are limited based on the person's experiences about things. No amount of explaining will help if you are talking to a person that is bias and boxes himself towards their own lived experiences and beliefs,"

"It is pointless to try to make them see your point especially when they are unwilling to listen and understand," Yoni explained.

"Yoni...do you think he's still mad? Did you talk to him while we're in the hospital?"
