Allison's POV

As the morning came around, I got out of my tent grabbing something small to eat before getting on top of the RV. I could hear the children running around and most of the camp doing their designated tasks for today. I looked over to see Glenn and Rick talking about the mustang. I could see how upset Glenn was that they were stripping it.

I could see Rick walking around doing his rounds of good morning. Shane had been speeding in his jeep before parking as he announced to everyone. "Water is here y'all. Just a reminder to boil it before use." He says getting out of his Jeep.

I heard screaming as I looked at one of the guys in the camp. "Cover for me." I said as I got down running to where the screaming was with my machete ready to kill anything. As I got closer I saw what the kids were screaming about. A walker wondered through the back of the camp eating away at a deer. By the looks of the deer, Daryl was struggling to get it down considering the arrows sticking out of it. I watched as the men started beating it until Dale took its head off.

"It's the first one we've had up here. They never come this far up the mountain." Dale says baffled.

"Well they're running out of food in the city. That's what." Jim says as the men look at the walker on the ground.

Another noise comes from the woods as we all see Daryl walk out seeing the deer he was tracking was no good. "Son of a bitch." He says walking closer to the deer. "That's my deer. Look at it all gnawed on by this filthy, disease-bearing, motherless, poxy bastard." He was kicking the walker in frustration as dinner was ruined.

"Calm down son. That's not helping." Dale says calmly.

"What do you know about it old man? You take that stupid hat and go back to on golden pond?"

"I've been tracking this deer for miles." He says taking his arrows out of the deer. "I was gonna drag back to camp. Cook us up some venison. What do you think? Do you think we can cut around this chewed up part right here?" He asks looking at Shane.

He sighs. "I wouldn't risk it."

"That's a damn shame." He says taking the string off of his shoulder. " I got some squirrel. About a dozen or so. It'll have to do."

We look seeing the walker's head start moving its mouth showing it was still alive as I sighed. "I got it." I said taking my machete plunging it through its head as it was dead. I take my machete out of the head cleaning it off with a handkerchief I always kept in my pocket before putting it back in its holder on my belt.

"It's gotta be the brain. Don't y'all know nothing?" Daryl asks before he walks past all of us heading into camp. We could hear him call for Merle.

I looked at Rick and nodded knowing it was time to tell Daryl what had happened with Merle. I walked faster catching up to Daryl. "Hey I need to talk you about Merle." I said grabbing his attention.

"What about him?" He asked.

"There was a problem in Atlanta."

"He dead?"

"We're not sure."

"He either is or he ain't"

Rick stepped up next to me. "No easy way to say this so I'll just say it."

"Who are you?"

"Rick Grimes."

"Rick Grimes. You got something you want to tell me?"

"Your brother was a danger to us all. So I handcuffed him on a roof, hooked him to a piece of metal. He's still there."

"Hold on. Let me process this. You're saying you handcuffed my brother to a roof and you left him there?" He asked yelling.
