Pang-dalawampu't Apat na Slice

Jet's POV:

In a week's time we will be having our much awaited graduation. We're finally leaving our nest that was high school and pursue our chosen career paths in College. We just wrote our last exam earlier and now, I'm having dinner with my family.

"Son, did they announce the honor roll already?" Dad looking at me with his knife and fork, raised a little above his plate.

I placed down my utensils, halted my eating and answered him, "Not yet dad. They'll announce it early next week."

"Of course ikaw na ang valedictorian." - kuya after drinking his juice.

My sister felt like joining the fun so she grinned at me, "Who else right? Yan na nga lang ang talent mo eh." Then my siblings laughed to their heart's content.

I looked at them in annoyance, "Very funny."

My mom shushed us all with her very beautiful smile and told us to get back at eating. While doing so, it seems like a question suddenly popped in her head so she laid down her forkand looked at me, "Jet, how are your applications?"

"I've sent them all na mom. I'm just waiting for their reply."

After dinner, I went straight ahead to my room to have some zen time. I filled my tub with warm water and soaked in.

"Hayyy this is the life."

Maybe after thirty minutes of soaking in, "🎶DING🎶"

I took my phone from the side and looked to see who texted me, "Si Joey." The text read as: "Jet! I'll pick you up! See me! Be there in an hour."

With what I just read, I immediately rose from the tub and thought,

"What? Ganitong oras? Wonder why..."

Pero I can't deny that I'm really feeling happy. Once again, Joey's asking me to go out. And this time, he'll pick me up from here. I don't have any idea why this sudden invitation pero I'm getting excited and extremely happy.

"Hahahahaha. Date? Again? This late pa?"

I'm suddenly feeling jittery inside, I can't contain it nanaman. I opened my shower to wash away the suds covering my body and prepare na rin. Happiness and this really fluffy warm feeling is in me nanaman kaya nag sing sing pa ako while showering.

"Kinikilig ka nanaman? Hahahaha...yeah? YUCK!!! Di talaga bagay hahahaha!"

After showering, I went directly to my closet and chose what to wear. It's night time naman so di na kailangan talaga ng something fancy. Nag wear nalang ako ng black, long sleeved shirt with a hood, black tight jogging pants plus a very comfy black fabric flat foot wear. I checked myself in the mirror, "Okay lang. Hehehe mukha akong ghost. All black then ang white ng skin ko."

I asked my kuya's permission nalang instead na sa parents ko. Ayoko na silang i-bother kasi they're resting na rin. And baka they won't allow me pa considering the time. Sabi ko kay kuya, mag coffee lang kami saglit ng friend ko. I did not tell him na I'll get picked up and won't be with kuya Alex. He told me not to go too far and come back before ten.

I was walking towards our house's gate when I was called,

"Sir! Aalis ka?"

I turned to face Richard who's smiling while coming near me.

"Oo. Sandali lang."

"Eh sir, andoon sa loob si kuya Alex. Tawagin ko sir."

Pa-turn na sana sya when I grabbed his arm, "No no. Hindi nya ako ihahatid."
