Jet's POV:
The sun was a blazed, giving-off a scorching heat when we left for my new place. Thinking that the earlier it is to move in, the easier adjustment would be, I decided to waste no time and do so the very next day. It would also be ideal since there are only a few remaining days until my classes commence.
On the road, Richard and kuya Alex are keeping me company. There could hardly be any dull moment with these two as they kept on giving me reasons to laugh. Getting me busy with their funny stories, misadventures and silly jokes - they sure made me endure the long wait as we're caught in traffic.
What's really funny is how they both joke on the quantity of my belongings. Richard said that he could already open a department store with my clothes alone. "Silly him. Hehehe."
True enough, my wardrobe alone cannot fit into this car, no matter how big and spacious it is. Thus, I even have to ask two more drivers and three female helpers to go with us.
Sighing, "The more we are, the faster it would be."
When we arrived at the parking floor of the building, they were all too busy unloading my things while I made the run for the elevator. To be honest, I'm feeling a bit apprehensive to see the place. Remembering kuya David's teasing last night about the design - I can't be so sure.
Well, he could obviously be joking. But, who knows? In his attempt to irk me, he could have actually done it. And that assumption has its history. When I was in elementary, I asked him to design a plain white shirt after my favorite cartoon. We have to present it in class and explain our favorite thing.
"And guess what that brute of a bother did?"
"Yes, a basketball court."
That particular day, until now, still gets into the top list of my most embarrassing moments. Imagine how I tried to make sense in front of everybody that I like basketball when I'm totally ignorant about it.
At the door, I took in a deep deep breath before punching in my code.
"Please...not a basketball court..."
When the open door finally revealed the interior of the place, I whispered, "Thank God."
The design is classic and modern, very fitting for a penthouse. Occupying the entire top two floors of the building, it's really spacious.
Moving around the first level, I'm very much impressed with my brother's choice.
"Luxurious it is."
The thing that struck me immediately is the huge glass panel at the far end of the place - greeting you at first glance. It covers the entire two levels of the unit ,from top to bottom, and shows this stunning view of the skyscrapers sprouting from the city. Outside of it is a viewing deck, a balcony or a large terrace of sorts.
I came out and looked around. It is a bit windy but still very hot. There are plants around the space, both large and small. Arranged within rows of chic concrete, they provide a green and cooling effect to the scenery. Also, there's this long wooden bench resting just a few steps from the glass panel.
Light posts are situated in all the corners. Sighing as I look at the skyline,
"Can't wait to see this at night."
Coming back in, I noticed how everything is complete on this level. There's the wide living room, classic dining area, modern kitchen, two big bedrooms, a large common washroom, and the laundry room. From paintings, vases and displays to everything electronic, they're all in.
