MJA : Time Is Not Enough

In order to improve something that has already existed, we need to relearn it's original compound and then study what made it what it is and then, find out what we can do to improve it. Sometimes, we already have something solid but we just know that there is always room for improvement so we proceed with experiments. We keep testing and testing and testing over and over until we can almost be happy with the results. Still, results can change with time and other innovations and discoveries.

Victor opened his eyes and found Christopher looking at him.

Christopher: Are you awake, daddy?

Victor: (shocked) Christopher?! (gets up) How did you get here?!

Christopher sits on the bed next to Victor who is struggling to sit up right.

Christopher: We just got here. Sort of.........

Victor: Where's......where's Melanie Jayne.......where's mommy?

Christopher: She's outside. Talking to Lorenzo and Nicole......(looks at Victor who seems to be having trouble focusing) Are you alright, daddy?

Victor: Yeah.....I'll uh......I'll be up in a minute......I need some time to erm.......

Christopher hands Victor a glass of water and helps his father get up.

I sat down in the lounge area with Nicole and Lorenzo. Nicole said she had some things to discuss with me while Lorenzo kept staring at me.

Lorenzo: (starts tearing up) You look just like Kana.......

MJ: I get that a lot. (smiles)

Nicole: I heard you met Mike........

MJ: I did.

Nicole: Look.....You would have gone out looking for him........And.....we didn't want you to......

MJ: I know. It's fine. He's fine. That's all that matters.

Nicole: Good. Now that we've got that out of the way........We can proceed to talking about your new identity.......

MJ: New identity?

Nicole: We need to move your shares. You do know how much you have, right?

I had no idea what Nicole was talking about. I understood that with me being dead, I was going to get a new alias to go by but I had no idea about the shares Nicole was talking about.

Nicole: Your inheritance, Melanie Jayne. Everything that you own. Everything that is under your name.......well, that is up until the time you died.........

Lorenzo: Do you have any idea of our "business" and our shares in these companies?

MJ: The designing company?

Nicole: No, MJ. The ACTUAL business. You don't actually think that our designing company is enabling the lifestyle we have........do you?

Lorenzo and Nicole proceeded to explaining to me about what is actually going on. Everything I never knew is keeping the family together and afloat all this while. Everything that I will have to learn from scratch. I have no clue how to run anything in this line, let alone dealing with our "clients".

Nicole: You understand now why I had to leave you behind, don't you?

MJ: How am I supposed to do all this? I've never done anything like this......I just.......
