Victor insisted on taking Melanie Jayne out on her birthday. He tried asking Melanie Jayne where she would have wanted to go and what she wanted to do. "So......birthday girl.......where would you like to go? Is there anywhere in particular you would like to go to celebrate?", Victor smiles. Melanie Jayne looked at him and smiled. She didn't care where he wanted to take her. She just wanted to spend time with him. "Why don't I let you decide, Mr. Keel........It's your call, after all......", she smiles. Melanie Jayne had never gone out with anyone before and nobody has ever asked her out. This was particularly special because it wasn't just anybody who is asking her out on her birthday. It was Victor Keel. She didn't want to ruin this.

After a few minutes of awkward silence, Melanie Jayne finally suggests a picnic. Victor smiled with relief. He was out of ideas and this was perfect. No reservations were required. No formal attires were needed. The only little problem was, he wasn't sure if Melanie Jayne wanted to get food from a shop or was she expecting homemade food. As he was trying to think of a less complicated way to ask her, she casually suggests her home. "I have a backyard we can have a picnic at, if you want.......And, we can just make our own picnic basket as we go along, if you don't mind.....", she smiles. Once again, Victor felt a relief because now, he has one less problem to think about.

Victor doesn't own a car. Melanie Jayne was very much aware of this so she invited him into her limo and had Jean drive them back to her house. Victor was excited to be in a limousine for the very first time but he tried to keep it cool. Melanie Jayne offered him a drink as the car headed to their destination. "This is very luxurious living, Miss Anderson.......", Victor finally said. Melanie Jayne just smiled. She didn't want to make him feel awkward in any way. She was nervous as it was because she was still having a hard time believing that Victor Keel was in the car with her and they were on their way to her house. "I hope you're having a good time, Mr. Keel. You didn't have to do all this for me", Melanie Jayne said. Victor smiled, "I would do this with you all the time, if I could, Miss Anderson". Melanie Jayne blushed and tried to not look like she was flattered too much by Victor's words.

Upon arriving at Melanie Jayne's house, Victor was looking out the window like he was amazed by the surrounding. Jean pulled over at the main entrance and they entered the house. Melanie Jayne lead Victor into the lounge area and asked him to have a seat as she checked the kitchen staff to see if they could clear up space for them to make their picnic baskets. Victor sat down but his eyes were wandering all around the house. There is a huge glass sliding door that opens up onto a patio outside where there is a huge swimming pool. On the other side of the room was a huge opening that goes into the dining area and there was another opening that would lead elsewhere into other parts of the house. The entire house looked so modern and chic. Victor knew that Melanie Jayne is a worldwide renowned fashion designer, he never knew she was very minimal and modern with interior decor and architecture.

"You wanna see if we can make anything, Mr. Keel?", Melanie Jayne calls out to Victor. Victor stood up and walked towards her. She lead him into the kitchen where there is a huge kitchen island with a black marble countertop, all cleared for them to start making food and assembling their picnic basket. Victor looked around at the kitchen cabinets and thought to himself, how big is this place? The cabinets and fixtures looked expensive and very well made. His curiosity finally got the best of him as he asked, "Did you design this entire house yourself, Miss Anderson?" Melanie Jayne looked at him and smiled. "Yes, I did design this entire place, Mr. Keel", she replied as she opened the huge refrigerator door. Victor seemed impressed.

Victor took off his jacket and places it onto a bar stool. He rolled up his sleeves as he looked at all the things Melanie Jayne had laid out on the countertop. "What are we making today?", he asked as he picked up the chopping board. "I have no idea. You can just make what ever, really.........I'm no good at this, honestly......", she laughed. Melanie Jayne had never cooked anything in her life. This was her first time trying to make anything edible. Victor smiled as he picked up a jar of mustard. He was reminded of the Mad Hatter from Lewis Caroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland as he tried to imitate the character's voice and said, "Mustard?!" Melanie Jayne bursts out laughing because he sounded so ridiculous. "You wanna try lemon instead, Mr. Keel?", she laughed.
