MJA : Time Is Not Enough

Fear

Victor woke up to a loud sound of gunshot. He looked around and found himself in some warehouse with cold concrete floors and dark lights. He tried to make sense of where he was. He couldn't remember how he got there. He heard a scream. It was Melanie Jayne. She was in pain. He got up and looked around for her.

At the far end of the room, he saw her lying down on the floor. She was lying in a pool of blood. He quickly ran towards her and got down on his knees. He picked up Melanie Jayne and gently placed her head on his lap as he looked at her. She was pale and losing a lot of blood. He started crying. 

Victor: (crying) Honey? What happened? Please......... (caressing Melanie's face) Melanie Jayne.......Who did this?

Melanie Jayne laid helpless in Victor's arms, barely breathing.

MJ: (whispers) Victor........Promise me......you'll take care......of the kids.......

Victor: (crying) I promise. Oh, please hold on........Please........

MJ: I love you.......

Melanie Jayne took one last look at Victor and smiled. She closed her eyes and Victor felt her body becoming cold and lifeless. Victor cried and cried.

Victor: (crying) No!!! Melanie Jayne!!! Don't leave me!!! Please........don't leave me......... 

Victor was crying and screaming. Melanie Jayne was trying to wake him up. He was in the suite onboard Lorenzo's boat. He saw Melanie Jayne's face as he opened his eyes and he jumped at her and hugged her so tightly and cried. Melanie Jayne was shocked. She had no idea what was going on but she tried to calm him down and gently rubbed his back.

MJ: (whispers) Honey......It was just a bad dream. Victor.........

Victor just cried and cried. Whatever it was he was dreaming about really made him either terrified or sad. Melanie Jayne wasn't really sure what it was but he really was shaken up by it and he held her so tightly like he wasn't going to let her go. Melanie Jayne tried to get him to lie down on the bed as she held him.

MJ: Hey...... (caressing Victor's face) It's ok, honey.........It's just a dream........

Victor: (crying and pressing his face against Melanie's chest) Don't leave me.........I can't go on without you.......

MJ: Victor, I'm right here.........I'm not going anywhere...........

Victor continued crying until he fell asleep. Melanie Jayne was worried. She held him as she went back to sleep. She woke up in the morning and saw Victor looking at her and caressing her face. He looked like he was missing her.

MJ: (smiles) I didn't realize you were already up........Good morning........

Victor just smiled. He didn't say anything. He just caressed her face and hair and smiled at his wife.

MJ: Are you alright? You wanna get some breakfast?

Victor shook his head. He just smiled at Melanie Jayne.

Victor: Can we just stay here today? Like this....... (caressing Melanie's face)

MJ: Honey......you had a pretty bad dream last night. You wanna tell me what it was about?

Victor just smiled at Melanie Jayne. He didn't say a word.

MJ: Why did you think I was going anywhere? (hugs Victor) I'm right here, honey.......

It was very strange but Victor refused to say anything about what he dreamt about. He didn't even want to leave the room. Melanie Jayne began to worry. She told him that she was going to get someone to send them some food and they can have breakfast in bed together.
