Falling Back

Melanie Jayne had always looked at Victor as though she was enchanted by him. As much as she tries to not look like she was getting butterflies inside every time he came around, she could hardly breathe and Victor knew it all along. He knew it ever since he first spoke to her. He knew it ever since he first held her hand. He knew it ever since he first kissed her. Victor had always been perfect to her.

Victor went through all the trouble he could have avoided to find out who Melanie Jayne was and he knew it was all worth it. He wasn't sure about how Melanie Jayne would have reacted to him having Christopher and how he got himself in the mess he was in. He was terrified at the thought of losing Melanie Jayne completely and he realized that whatever it was he was doing was only because he never knew that Melanie Jayne was unlike everyone else he's ever known growing up. He never knew Melanie Jayne would have accepted him despite his past problems and mistakes.

Melanie Jayne taught Victor that communication is key and that she was willing to work on their relationship no matter what the situation was. They had come a long way from just trying to put up a facade. Everything that Melanie Jayne had been trying to do was just to love Victor. She loved him for everything that he was and she loved him for everything that he is.

Armand was unconscious. Jean was beating the living lights out of him and he completely knocked out. Victor turned to look at Jean and Leo, trying to figure out what the next course of action was. Jean looked at his phone and shook his head in disbelief.

Victor: What is it?

Jean: They uh......they destroyed the family house.......

Victor: Lorenzo's house?

Victor ran out to look for Melanie Jayne. She was sitting on the floor with her hands covering her face. She was crying. Victor rushed over to her and hugged her. He tried to console her.

Victor: Honey.......what are we gonna do now? Where's your dad?

MJ: (crying) I........I don't know........

Melanie Jayne just hugged Victor and cried. She couldn't think. Nicole had gone out to the interrogation room. Leo and Jean told her to stay calm but she was enraged. She had a gun with her.

Leo: Babe.......put the gun down.......

Nicole: I've had enough of this shit! I should have just put a bullet in him from the very beginning!

Jean: Miss Roberts! Wait!

Nicole pulled the trigger and shot Armand in the head. Melanie Jayne and Victor looked around in shock.

MJ: Was that a gunshot?!

Everyone rushed into the interrogation room and saw Armand still tied up to the chair on the floor and his face was covered in blood. He was laying in a pool of blood coming out from the back of his head. Jean took the gun away from Nicole as Leo hugged her and pulled her away. Lorenzo and Lord Roberts rushed over but Victor told them to stay outside.

MJ: Dad..........what do we do now? Have we been compromised? 

Nick rushed over with Theodore, Sebastian and Takeshi.

Nick: The kids are ready to go, sir.

Andre rushed over and saw everyone panicking.

Andre: Was that a gunsh......... (looking at the blood on the floor behind Victor)

Victor: Don't go in there, Andre! Go with Nick and the kids, please!

Lorenzo looked at Nick and nodded. He looked over at Melanie Jayne and told her that they needed to leave. Victor was trying to think but with everything that's happened in the past hour or so, he can only follow what ever Lorenzo and his team had planned out. He held Melanie Jayne's hand and headed out to the kids.
