Jean was holding on to Melanie Jayne. She was upset that she couldn't go through with the execution. She was also a little upset with recent discoveries of her mother's past. Jean wiped the tears from her face and smiled.

Jean: Hey, look at me. We can still fix this.

MJ: (sniffles) How?

Just as Jean was about to say something, Christopher walks into the room with Baek-Hyon and Victor. Takeshi and Theodore followed.

Christopher: I need to speak to you, mommy.

MJ: (surprised) Erm......Ok......

Christopher: Why were you against the execution? She hurt you. She hurt this family. She hurt papa Lorenzo. She killed your mother. Why did you not want her dead?

Victor looked at Melanie Jayne like he was apologizing.

Victor: I tried to talk to him outside. Sorry......

MJ: That's alright. Listen, sweetie...... I just wanted to know why...... I also don't believe in killing other people even though......

Christopher interrupted like he was upset.

Christopher: Papa Lorenzo said it's a weakness, mommy. We can't be weak to protect this family. We have to do whatever it takes.

Victor: I'm sure he didn't mean it that way......

Christopher: Then, what did he mean?

Jean interrupted.

Jean: Your mother is not weak, Christopher. She has principles. She is living up to what she believes and she believes in finding out the truth. And no, she is not weak because she could not go through with the execution. She was raised to not be violent. She was raised to not inflict pain onto other people. I raised her that way. She is what she is because I raised her to be as such.

Christopher: But you would have killed her, wouldn't you, Jean?

Jean was trying to find the easiest way to explain what he was saying to Christopher when Lorenzo walked into the room with Nick.

Lorenzo: Jean would have killed her. I would have killed her. Kaito would have killed her. Your father would have killed her. Theodore would have killed her. But......we didn't. Your mother wanted to know the truth and she has every right to know it. Now, we have uncovered something and it is time for us to proceed.

Christopher sighed and left. Baek-Hyon followed him. Victor and Takeshi decided to wait outside. Lorenzo had asked Theodore to wait outside as he wanted to speak to Melanie Jayne and Jean privately.

Jean: Forgive me for my behaviour today, sir. I was a little......overwhelmed......

Lorenzo: That's alright. You are on your meds. (laughs)

MJ: That's not funny, dad. He's in so much pain.

Lorenzo looked at Melanie Jayne and smiled. He shook his head and looked at Jean.

Lorenzo: She is my daughter by blood, Jean....... But...... I think she would go to the ends of the earth for you. (looks at Melanie and smiles) Tell me, my child. What else is it that you would like to know? I never meant to be dishonest in any way. I wanted to make sure your mother was remembered the right way.

MJ: How did you know she did something? Did you see? What did she do with Collins?

Lorenzo: Nothing. She had always been so polite and gentle with her interactions with people. She was demonstrating a lot of sympathetic emotions towards him. He was the one who was trying to violate the boundaries. Your mother honoured our marriage very much. She was raised dignified. She was the one who told me about what he was doing. He was trying to speak to her ever so often. Especially when he knew I was away from her. She was worried about his intentions and she did the right thing by telling me. I did what any husband would have done.
